The Don in some special company

Woops, posted in wrong discussion. Could someone please move this to the Jazz discussion?

That's awesome.

All four of the guys he's on that list with are Hall of Famers. Pretty good company.

Another thing I find interesting is that Carter, Richmond and Iverson were immediate starters on their teams in their rookie seasons. Donovan started as a bench player. He came off of the bench for the first 10-12 games of his career. So it's possible that Donovan could have been higher on this list had he started from the very beginning.

That just goes to show how special MJ was. Lebron has nothing on that dude
The late 80's were a time of scoring at will. I think the entire NBA averaged over 110 per game. And MJ was different than everybody else. He was playing iso when the league was all post up and pass out, PnR, etc.

Jordan was an amazing scorer, but so much more context is needed for the LBJ MJ debate than just 6-0 and MJ's scoring.

Back to Donovan - amazing stuff considering that company. 2 games behind Iverson who was the #1 pick and known for scoring? Wow.
