What's new

The evidence continues to grow, allmost to rapidly

I do not present this information with any malicious intent or spite, in fact I am desperately hoping Trey Burke snaps out of this funk but the case for playing Exum over Burke continues to grow and gets bigger from game to game. Tonight during the Detroit game the national media was definitely taking note. Here is some information shared today during the game:

@ZachLowe_NBA: Trey Burke shot 38% last season, now 23-of-70 so far this season. He's young, but we're not far from the point where this is a problem.

@SherwoodStrauss: Whenever I watch the Jazz, I'm just not sure what Burke does well on an NBA level.

@NateDuncanNBA: Exum is far ahead of where I thought he'd be defensively. Not consistent, but he can do a nice job at times getting past screens

@NateDuncanNBA: Are we at the point yet where Exum is a better offensive player than Burke already? It's at least a question right now.

@HPbasketball: Exum has nice court awareness for barely being able to buy pornography which of course is not permitted in Utah anyway.

his shot is just not falling AT ALL.....

really have no clue what is going on with burke and I really like burke.

If we could flip him and Kanter into a decent asset I'd do it in a heartbeat. I just don't think either of them are good fit. Trey truly does nothing good, merely a few things ok.

I am still learning how to attach in this forum there is a tiny table within the post hope you can see it

Trey Burke is not a starting PG in this league, their is nothing he can do well. But, also Exum will struggle playing against starting 5 players, it´s not the same playing against bench guys. But the main problem is not that Burke is playing like crap, he is also taking to many shots, despite his lack of scoring. The last few games he is coming down a bit with chucking, but before he shot most fieldgoals in the team.
When playing against better competition, Exum will struggle toop. But atleast Exum will be better defensively and much more unselfish.

It will be better for Burke, comig from the bench for a few games. But somebody has to tell this kid, that he is not Steph Curry, nor Damien Lillard or something else. He has to focus on making plays and keep the ball moving. He does nothing to deserve the starting spot right now.

I think QS agrees. The fact that he pulled Burke in favor of Exum in a homecoming game, down the stretch and with the game still in doubt, speaks volumes.

Oh, his shot is falling all right; it's falling short just as it did all last season. I'm not sure where anyone ever got the idea Burke could shoot on an NBA level. Quote the "clutch" last 5 minutes of a game all you want. But the simple fact remains he was 38% last year and is 33% this season. If that isn't the perfect example of going from the proverbial "bad to worse," then I 'm not sure what is. Oh yeah, assists are also down while turnovers are up.

Someone shoulda told him to work on his game this offseason, instead of taking nude selfies like some $60 craigslist hooker.

Those #'s are nothing short of atrocious. Whats with the turnovers?! that was his saving grace last season.

Didnt Ty Corbin advocate drafting Trey? can someone please clarify that for me.

To be fair we could have drafts Giannas the Greek Freak and Gobert instead of Burke.

The disparity is even greater if you look at only November games. Once Dante got his feet wet, he's come on strong. Five assists in each of the last 3 games. I think QS has noticed; Dante's minutes are now in the mid-20's.

I knew someone was going to jump on this. Once I submitted it I saw that I left out an extra o, god forbid! Grammar police are out!

It's kinda like boinking your buddie's girlfriend who works at Hooters, but less fun and less likely to give you herpes. If I hadn't done it, somebody else would have.

Exum has played well, but there is no way he's ready to play over 25 minutes a game. He doesn't have the stamina nor the experience. Quin has to either fix Trey or DL has to trade him for a starting point. Kanter and Burke for Monroe and DJ Augustine.
