They can sign a max guy this summer. Let's say they sign Love. That puts them at the cap. BUT, in 2016, they will have gobs and gobs of space. Two max guys space.

So, for next year they have:

Okafor/Towns
Love/Randle
Delon Wright at PG
Kobe at SG.

The then next summer, they can bring in two max guys. Let's go crazy here. They could bring in Durrant and Davis. Plus have all their picks. Un-freaking-real.

That would be a huge positive for LA as it would become a top FA destination and it opens up a ton of cap room to get a star.

I hope he sticks around. Soon as he's gone, they WILL be in a great spot, but not until then. I'm still not jealous though, as Utah is about to become a force to be reckoned with. They should be jealous of Utah having Rudy Gobert.
