What happens there is, first and foremost, an issue within Spain, and the region of Catalonia. As such, as an American, it's not my business in any primary sense.

Globalism, on the other hand, I might say this, as these are the thoughts the word itself brings to my mind. So far as I know, this is the only planet mankind inhabits. And, figuratively speaking, it has gotten smaller via the transportation revolution of the last hundred plus years, and via the present day communication revolution. It has also become smaller, in a sense, via the modern day population explosion.

There also exist global-wide problems that all of humanity faces. And, sooner or later, we will have to face those problems as a species of life on this planet, and not simply as national groups.

Take for instance the very real possibility that life overall, on this, our only planet, is entering, or already has entered, the 6th major extinction event. Consider this recent decades long study from Germany, denoting a 77% reduction in flying insects, which pollinate our crops:

That's a serious issue, one of many that likely should be addressed by a humanity united to address the problems that are truly global in nature. So, from that perspective, I have no problem whatsoever being a globalist in temperament and outlook. Our fragile planet faces a number of problems that should cause us to recognize we should address these problems as the only species on Earth capable of mitigating them, if that is possible.

exactly, you are for big powerful government, stiffing liberty!

the right stands for small government and ultimate liberty.

are you really an American? do you hate America. because if we transport you to 1775, you would be against united states independence, against the deceleration of independence and against the bill of rights and against the constitution!

This is why people ignore you. You make wild jumps in "logic" and use them to make stupid allegations on people you really know nothing about. At least you didn't mention 1940s socialist Germany.

how is it a wild jump in logic?
please explain.

ooh wait you are a mod. you are right i wont question you. please dont give me an infraction for not having the same point of view as yours!

Where did I say I was against Catalonia, lol. What I said had nothing to do with Catalonian independence. If anything I might be guilty of diverting the thread. And speaking up for humanity as one family is hardly something most people would angrily attack. Is it? Because that is all I did, lol. I did not say "curse Catalonia", lol. Another bizarre reaction by Dutch, sigh. Anyway, given the way in which the Kurds have helped both American forces and the Yazidis(remnants of the religion of ancient Mesopotamia, how cool is that!), I would not mind seeing them have their own free standing political entity either.

I'm so disappointed in you two.

Most of these dunt take speciation rates into account. The 6th Extinction event is largely overblown.

Not to mention the vote itself is faulty to begin with. Those wishing to remain a part of Spain boycotted the vote. I don't find the vote that compelling. Will be interesting to see where this goes.

On a tangent, northern Italy just voted for more autonomy from Rome.

I might care if you took the same passion toward the left wing trolls who are so much worse than Dutch's hilarity, one that you mentioned above.

I practically write book length posts half the time. Put one hell of a lot of thought and effort into many of my posts. Not that I expect they'll be read all that much, given that most people today prefer short, not long. But it's really not the kind of sustained effort that characterizes the behavior of a troll. So, I'm no troll, whether you see it that way or not. I've slammed Dutch and Boris a few times. Guess I trolled them in those instances. But, overall, I'm as far removed from a troll on this forum as it gets. But, like, whatever...

wait what is the definition of a troll someone a person disagrees with, or someone who disagrees with socialsit(whatever variant, democratic, national or insert word here)

At least the one you are talking about uses different vocabulary to say the same thing.
Every post from dutch has the exact same words. Over and over.
Left, right, liberal, socialist, obama, hitler, blah blah blah.
Oh and I don't care if you don't care. I do find it funny that you like dutch so much though. Takes one to know one type thing I guess.

A vote isn't faulty simply because the side that realizes it's going to lose boycotts the vote.

Don't agree with it, but ehh, we'll see how it goes, many of Spain's not so long ago problems with fascism get swept under the rug in the guise of national unity.
