The Hoops Report Twitter Mock Draft

Earlier today @thehoopsreport announced a twitter mock draft that would be held by the fans. Well, I volunteered to make the picks for the Jazz and I'm looking for some feedback! I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on this.

The following is all my opinion:

I believe the Jazz need the following things

1. A backup PG who can eventually take over the team
2. Shooting!! someone who can spread the floor and keep defenses honest
3. A lockdown defender/rebounder in case AK47 doesn't return

I believe the Jazz value the following things about a player

A. Leadership - They're looking for a winner with a good attitude
B. IQ - They're looking for someone smart and adaptable
C. Character - They need someone with high character

Here are the draft prospects I think are potentially available/worthy of 3 and 12

1. Derrick Williams - Probably not available. But he's athletic, explosive, a great shooter. Seems like an exciting player
2. Enes Kanter - The mystery man who appears to have an elite skill set (at least against a chair) he has great size, and could develop into a nice big man
3. Brandon Knight - young PG who's bright, and looks like he could be a nice fit for the team
4. Kemba Walker - Quick PG who's a proven winner but lacks size
5. Jimmer Fredette - NPOY, plays with heart, and one of the best shooters in the draft
6. Klay Thompson - Looks like a nice sized SG. Has a good shooting percentage.
7. Alec Burks - A slasher/scorer SG
8. Chris Singleton - Arguably the best defender in the draft
9. Jan Vesely - 6'11 euro SF/PF
10. Jonas Valanciunas - Euro big man with a possible contract issue
11. Kawhi Leonard - rebounding sf/pf with a motor
12. morris twins - good builds, and decent rebounds
13. bismack biyombo - the guy with the freaky wingspan, shotblocking ability, elite defense
14. donatas motejunas - euro big man with what looks like some good skills but a questionable drive

Sorry if I left anyone out, but I think this is pretty much THE list in my mind

The draft options I'm thinking about

1. Kanter/Fredette - I call this my "BPA" option. You pick Kanter who looks like the BPA at 3, and hope Fredette falls to 12 and gets you some ticket sales while yr at it
2. Knight or Walker/ Thompson or Burks - You pick up Knight or Walker and pray that you can get a good shooter scorer at 12 in Thompson or Burks
3. Knight or Walker/ Fredette - Firepower back court?
4. Knight or Walker / Singleton - The "role player" option
5. Jan Vesely / ? - The mindblowing option.

I'm happy to hear everyone's thoughts on this. Apologies for the long post. But you can see a lot is on my mind!
