The horror of drafting in the 6-10 range

And yet he was picked ahead of and projected ahead of Chris Paul, Deron Williams, and others in a pretty stacked draft. In this draft like others have said there will most likely be a huge bust. And there will be multiple guys going 6+ that end up better than 1-3 of the top 5 picks. This draft is being hyped like crazy and I don't believe it will live up to it. If there is more than 1 franchise player in this draft I'll be surprised.

Cool

What??? Did I say that? Perhaps it's my broken english or just you. There is no way we are as bad as the 76ers. They are atrocious, unwatchable. I was pointing out that we are not tanking as hard as we could. Quite the opposite from the 76ers, who has done everything possible to be horrible. We have talent but are a weak team overall and are coached by corbin. We should aim at finishing with the 4th or 5th worst record to give us the best chance in the lottery.

You are correct, it was me. For some reason I added an "as" in between "we are just bad." My apologies.

I guess the Jazz could scratch every good player and play guys like Biendrins and Clark and Lucas for 40 minutes a game, but that defeats the purpose of this season IMO. Playing Marv and Jefferson too many minutes also defeats the purpose of this season too. The whole idea of this season, at least to me, was to get the Core guys playing as many minutes as they can to develop. If it means that they do and they aren't the worst team in the league so be it. I want the Jazz to finish 4th or 5th worst too, but not at the expense of not playing any of the core. Still though there are ways around it, like giving Gobert major minutes instead of the zilch he's getting, or letting Evans get more burn, or experimenting with Burks at the 1 again.

Maybe you are right but i dont remember him being that hyped.

Also dont remember hearing alot of talk about a bunch of teams tanking for him but maybe they were and just didnt notice because the jazz were not involved

He and Durant were hugely hyped. They were both sure things. Oden slighty more so because he was a big man.
They were all the rage that year.

Lets hope if we get a top 2 pick we dont end up with Oden ;)

Agree. I would like to see Kanter and Favors play together, regardless of spacing on offense and poor defense. Why not experimenting with lineups? Going small for instance. Or the opposite, playing Gobert a bit more. It's time to cut down Marvin and RJ minutes.

This is not an ordinary draft. This is the Lebron, Carmelo, Darko 2.0 draft. This season could very well determine the league's future. Good thing the Jazz have no expectations for a title.

super poorman's version of lebron, melo, wade, bosh draft. not even close, honestly.
