The INSANELY early 2012 DRAFT

Ha! Sorry, man, Miller is Darius Miller #34 coming out of high school and going to be a SR. He's 6-7, 225lbs, shoots 40% from 3, and has the skills to play point (at the collegiate level). Hood was the #35 player coming out of high school, going to be a JR (Jon Hood). Just gotta get these kids playing time.

Kendall Marshall is far better than Greg Paulus. I think we can all agree on that (for those that know who is Paulus is, anyway). I like Kendall, not down on him at all, I think he's a legit late first-round PG talent.

I should have clarified that statement better. Marshall's situation is/was similar to Paulus where he had very good players around him that make him look better than he is. Paulus obviously wasn't that great, and I do think that Marshall is better than him. Don't get me wrong though, I love Marshall as a person and I love the way he plays...he just plays the right way. But what I see in him, is a guy who is very smart, very good passer, but does not have even good athleticism, does not have a good shot, has good height, is still weak, you can obviously see where I'm going. I see him as a very similar player to Marcus Williams from UConn....smart players, good passers, great college players, just not that good of NBA players.

If the draft was today, would you rather trade the #11 and #12 and move up and get a guy like Barnes or would you stay and get two solid players instead?

Trade Jefferson or Millsap + one of the picks to get a stud, either at sf or pg.

Use #12 to get a stud at the other position we didn't yet get.

Kabongo-Watson
Hayward-Burks
Gilchrist-Evans
Favors-Millsap
Kanter

How sick does that core nine look on paper?

So trade a legit big and #11 to move up 2 spots. If it was indeed Big Al, an expiring contract/very good player and a #11 in my mind could get you in the top 3
