The Jazz are BACK

Ingles is playing much better and is looking like his old self lately. Once Conley gets the system down completely and builds better chemistry and connectivity with his teammates I think his play will significantly improve. We all know Quins system is very complicated, there was a quote from Conley a few weeks ago saying that you need a PHD to play here. It took Rubio half a season to finally start looking comfortable running the offense and I have no doubt Conly will get there eventually. I also don't think the bench is set in stone. We still have the trade deadline and Andy Larsen say's the Jazz will be very aggressive in the buyout market.

jingles looked like his old self in his starting role. Who should we bench so he can start? Conley, Royce, or Mitchell?

The system is why Conley has struggled to shoot and defend?

Okay okay, so once Conley becomes an allstar again after learning the system, what happens to our bench? Does Ed Davis, green, Mudiay, and Niang play significantly better too?

Obviously Royce is the one that should be coming off the bench in order to let Ingles start. I also addressed the bench in my previous post, I think we will add a quality piece or two using the trade deadline and buyout market.

LOL

so this thread aged well. We’re in a dogfight at home with the league’s worst team. Our bench has 6 or 7 pts headed into the 4th Qtr.

The Jazz are back?

Fighting back from 13 down on your own home court against a bottom dweller and acting like you just won a tight playoff game is hardly being "back".

However, had we lost everyone would be saying these are the games that the Jazz lose every year that cost them playoff positioning.

Both can be true. They are not mutually exclusive.

The offense looks a lot better... ball is moving well. Bench is giving us garbage production... that will be helped when Conley comes back. Sub Bradley in fo Ed or trade for a backup big and I think we will be fine.

Did you hear Donovan's post game interview on the court? That gave me a lot more hope and encouragement that things are starting to get back on track.

Yes I heard it and I agree

I'm concerned Rudy is being used so much that he will get injured. Seems like his load needs to be lightened a little.

I completely agree. It's just hard to leave him off the floor for too long because we're getting killed in the minutes he's on the bench.

Rudy needs to be played less, absolutely.

However...

Rudy on the floor = zero layups allowed.

Rudy off the floor = layup drills.

Tough to get his time down when having him rest is as good as taking everyone else off the floor on defense too.
