What's new

The Jazz are trading D-Will to New Jersey!?

I was planning on sleeping today. But I guess I'll just play minecraft and listen to sports radio. Holy ****.

This is a better trade than they would have been able to make this summer or next deadline. They did okay. This team is going to be young next year with two more lottery picks, though.

Yup. KOC gets a nice pat on the butt for this. With what we assumed to be the writing on the wall, he did well getting some valuable assets.

The bad thing is that I'm now completely "meh" about this team. Except for CJ Miles, who sucks, and who I hate. Not as a person, but as a basketball player. And also as a person.

We traded our 3rd overall for another 3rd overall. Ironic. I'm happy. Favors is 20, and has played well in the limited minutes he's had. He's actually pretty consistant. I'm glad we traded a guy who could have left the Jazz, leaving us with nothing...

Listen, I'm looking forward. But D-Will is a superstar, and it's not every day you have the opportunity to get a player of his caliber on your team. Who knows what the future holds, but we'll probably not see another top ten NBA player in a Jazz uniform for a while.

Also, wont Dwill be pissed about going to NJ? Why would he stay there? They have NO ONE on that team.

It's times like these that I'm grateful I have more going on for me in life than clinging to a business entity such as the NBA and its revenue-generating teams.

We'll never have the consistency again. Stockton and Malone hit the road, Jerry was run out of town, and Sharon Williams will win none of the championships.

I'm not sure I really get this deal for NJ. Do they really think Deron is a lock to resign there? The Nets will be horrific. If I'm Deron I'm calling LA and telling them to save cap space for me to come play with Blake after next season.

Terrible trade for the Jazz (depending on the picks). If we get a bunch of high lottery picks, this would be good. But you don't trade the best point guard in the NBA for a couple of role players.

The Jazz will be in some other city in 10 years if they can't figure out how to keep stars. We've always had a problem getting top notch free agents, now we can't even hang onto our lottery picks?

Favors is about 10 years away from being 'a couple years away'....

I'm absolutely stunned right now. STUNNED. This is awful. What a sad day. Awful deal. Cannot believe our franchise was just traded away.

A little dramatic wouldnt you say. Chances probably more than 50/50 he was gone after next year (if there is a next year) Favors is already a very good rebounder. Still working on his offensive game. Remember he had one year in college. Durant is a franchise, not DWILL.

Harris isn't exactly a role player.

Just like with Hayward, Favors is still extremely young and just needs some time. Kobe didn't become Kobe when he was 19.

I wonder if we plan on keeping Al at C having Millsap/Favors at the 4 in the future.
