Why are the Rockets the Jazz's kryptonite?

We don't use Rudy enough in the offense when they go small, so he becomes a liability.
Our point guard is not Steph Curry.
We are not athletic enough.

And the only better than the Warriors is that Mitchell is superior than Klay Thompson. But shooting covers up a host of sins and flaws. So it doesn't matter if Klay is not a super athlete, he is a good/great athlete with a superior shooting touch.

We did a bad job of getting Rudy the ball when he had smaller defenders on them. That's practically acceding to what Houston wanted to do. If our shots had been falling it might have been different. Didn't help that everything Houston threw up there went in, even when we played the right defense. There are solutions to what Houston did, but we didn't make those adjustments for whatever reason.

Sure, but as I said in another thread these are the games we will look back on at the end of the season and lament because we finished 1 game back of someone. So, yes, it is one game in a long season, but the sum at the end can come back to bite us.

Well, it seems apparent that the problems that the Jazz have faced with the Rockets in the playoffs might not be personnel-related, as much as scheme related. Maybe it wasn't that we didn't have enough offense, maybe they just played the right type of defense. They certainly seem to be a lot easier to defend with James Harden on the floor - ironic as that is.

If the Rockets would not have shot so well from 3 point land we would still have won anyway. We shot poorly from 3 and they shot great from the 3. However, if we had benched Conley from the get go, we would have won anyway!

They were saying on the radio QS seemed to be hit pretty hard in the pregame interviews. He didn't seem to make his usual halftime adjustments, and it took til 3 mins left for DM to ball deny Eric Gordon. Any of a million things change and we win. I hate to see the momentum get snatched in a game like last night, but it has been a weird couple of days. Let's see what happens with the spurs.

Things happen. Every team in the league has an awful loss on their record, and many teams struggle with one team for some various reason or another.

The circumstances in this game were just odd too.

That said it's a pretty awful/embarrassing loss, and they need to figure out how to beat these guys.

Cuz we are trying to go small with Conley and Bojan's acquisition despite lacking the skillset to do so. Rockets is designed to play against elite small lineups. Our "small lineup" is a joke compared to GSW's

It's happened before and it will happen again. One team has nothing to lose, the other everything...it's not just the Jazz. We choked pure and simple - Gobert blocked himself on the rim and backboard, Bogey couldn't dribble the ball, Conley was trying too hard (again), truthfully, the only guy that played freely was Donovan and even he threw the ball away down the stretch. We couldn't pass, we couldn't dribble, we couldn't even hand off, choke city pure and simple.
