I'd like to see a replay of that...
you don't often see a player get called for an offensive for getting tackled while catching the ball on the break.
Maybe I missed something, but it seemed to be an unusual call at a critical time.
A basket there would have cut the lead to 3.

We had a bad angle on TV - I didn't see anything but he was sandwiched between two defenders. Also, if I recall there was no replay.

Anyway, not exactly losing sleep over it. You'd be hard pressed to convince me Utah would have won on Wednesday under any scenario.

We would have lost regardless most likely, but that did seem to start our run of missing easy opportunities and going cold in the 2nd.

Wow, the mythmaking at its finest...The Jazz comeback ended with Parker, Duncan and Leonard checking in the game. A minite after that they went on the huge run. It is not about Favors or Carroll, it is just an indication that the Jazz can't play on the level of the Spurs' best players. Yes, the Jazz can hang out against their bench (we do remember that regular season game, right?), but when Duncan, Gino and Parker are on the floor they are just destroying us, plain and simple... regardless of who we are going to throw at them.

I agree with the OP. That call was BS, and they did show a replay of it from the camera on the top of the backboard. Green, I think it was, was back-peddling and got himself "kinda" in front of Carroll when he planted and stopped while body was still leaning towards Carroll, in 2x slow mo, he was almost there...real time, not even close, should have been a blocking call and I think Carroll made the shot, so it would have been an And-1.

In the end though, the score would have been 85-114 or 86-114 instead of 83-114...

maybe, but they were coming back until that play... It was a huge momentum killer,
you never know how things would have turned out if the jazz scored on that possession

maybe the Jazz starters would have had more confidence and played better if the Jazz had all the momentum when the starters came back in.

maybe the Spurs starters would have felt pressure and made some mistakes if they were playing from behind

maybe Corbin would have stuck longer with the guys hustling and making fast break opportunities if the refs made a normal call.

Is this the break where he had Burks trailing? I remember being more upset he didn't pass than not getting the foul. Either way, it was not a turning point.

Yes it was, as a matter of fact he had a similar break earlier with him and Burks and he converted the layup but I was upset that he didn't pass to Burks for an easier layup.

no, you don't appear to be thinking of the play I am talking about at all, because it was clearly a turning point, if you paid attention to the FACT that they had a chance to close to within 3, as I said, even though they started the game horribly, and the Spurs went on something like a 20 point run after that play.

and if you read my OP you would see that it is silly to complain about him not passing, because I said that he had just caught the ball, he didn't have time to pass before he was practically tackled, (not to mention that I don't think there was no one for him to pass to)

thanks for telling me I am wrong based on nothing, I would expect nothing less here at jazzfanz.
