For fouls in a season.
And probably will set the record for biggest foul difference between them and their opponents.

No stars + lots of scrubs + no experience/lots of youth + the Jazz rep of fouling a lot + corbin sux + refs already seem to hate favors = ****loads of fouls

Ya when I was making this thread I was saying to myself, "self, even the refs are behind the jazz tank"
 
The refs have hated the jazz since I can remember. so I don't know about all the records you mentioned but definitely going to be close sixers might give us a run on this.

Best random thought of at least the last three seasons.

If they're gonna hack then let's see some nasty attitude mixed in with it. I really want to see Kanter knock some dude out cold.. on accident of course.

Ya I see kanter as a bruiser....kinda like rick mahorn with skills and personality.

So excited to see kanter go full bully mode
 
Well, Lindsey has said the emphasis will be on defense and that's what Corbin will be evaluated on. I don't care if they set a record for fouls, as long as most of those are hard fouls, not the kind you get for playing defense with your arms instead of moving your feet to establish position. And yes, I want to see Favors and Kanter knock guards to the floor. Drive inside and you WILL pay the price!

So am I. Especially now that there is a beefed up, physical Favors behind him. Aside from Memphis and Indy teams are going to be sore after facing the Jazz.

I hope he doesn't quit playing tough. I'm really curious about the effects on his game after his first and hopefully
last injury.
 
The most fouls in an NBA season since 84-85 was accomplished by the NY Knicks in 84-85 with 2,398.

The most ever by a Jazz team was 04-05 with 2,189, ranking it 19th all time.

Last season the Jazz had 1,750 ranking 3rd in the NBA, but it was only ranked 26th out of the last 30 Jazz seasons.

Jazz would have to average close to 30 fouls per game to beat the all-time NBA record. It would certainly be memorable.

On foul differntial.

Last season the Jazz gave 80 more fouls than they recieved.

But the Jazz have 16 seasons (out of last 29) where they got fouled more than they fouled. In 91-92 the difference was an incredible 212 fouls. The difference was 100 or more in 90-91, 88-89, 85-86, 98-99, 97-98, 08-09, 84-85, and 02-03.
