Chicago looks like the most likely destination. They can give two picks and Boozer. That seems to be the easiest thing to do.
Boozer seems to be pretty easy to be had if wanted. The question is, is he wanted? Would this lineup be worth Boozer?
Burke, Livingston, Neto
Hayward, Burks
Wiggins, Marvin
Boozer, ???, Evans
Favors, Gobert
You eat up cap space for this year, you have a proven scorer in Boozer taking pressure off Wiggins, you get cap space next year again, you only give up Kanter and maybe the #23 and you get to keep Burks.
I'd really consider this deal. The problem is, Boozer costs so much, you probably can't sign Hayward, Marvin and Livingston.
If Kanter's ceiling is Boozer/Al, why are we so desperate to keep him? Why not move Kanter for the player he may possibly, someday be, not have to commit to that guy long term, and win now?
I just don't get all the Kanter love. Even if he pans out and becomes an All-Star, he is still just Boozer or Al Jefferson, and we all hated those guys. Why would we suddenly love Kanter?
Third year stats:
16 pts, 11 rebs, 51% fg, 2 blks - Al
18 pts, 9 rebs, 52% fg, 1 blk - Boozer
12 pts, 7 rebs, 49% fg, 1 blk - Kanter
But, it's all Corbin's fault, right?
