The Mosque of Bojan Bogdanovic

I think that there is some confusion because of the difference between ethnic Croatians and Croatian citizens.

Citizens of Croatia and include ethnic Croats (90.4%), Serbs (4.4%), Bosniaks (0.73%) and others

Citizens of Bosnia include ethnic Bosniaks, Serbs and Croats (not sure about percentages, but that is the correct order)

So Bogey was born in pre-war Yugoslavia (country that no longer exists) that became the country of Bosnia, at which point he was an ethnic Croatian and citizen of the country of Bosnia.

Today Bogey may be a dual citizen or a Croatian citizen, this part is unclear. But he plays international basketball for Croatia.

In the Balkans, it is all very complicated.

No offense fellow turbanites, but I worship at the alter of Nikola Mirotic. All praise be unto him. NiK-ALA as we refer to our glorious saviour, is truly beyond the temptation of vast personal wealth as he reportedly left over 10 mil per year on the table to play closer to home. Nik-ALA has saved us from ourselves! Nik-ALA is great and good! Nik-ALA is great and good!

I’m a man and I’m not sure if science has quite figured it all out but after tonight’s game..... if Bojan wants to put his baby in me I’m cool with it.

Dear diary,

I awoke to harsh weather and a chill in my bones. That did not stop me. Last night brought my faith and joy to an all time high. At dawn I traversed the snow torn terrain to show my love for Him. I kneel for Bojan.

I noticed Bogdanovic making the sign of the cross near the end of last night's game, so he is clearly a Christian. It seemed like the Catholic sign and not the Orthodox one, but it happened so unexpectedly that I am not 100 percent sure.

I think you have a point. I also think that there's some confusion because of the difference between ethnic anything and standard stay at home in Utah, Jazz fanz.
I know that (most) Jazz fanz are chomping at the bit to find out as much as they can about the cultural belief's, culture (in general) and religion behind our own Jazz player Bojan Bogdanovic. Nothing wrong with that, I deeply encourage Jazz fanz or anyone to learn about the other beautiful cultures of this world. I do find it almost embarrassing (being a Utah'n original) to read the reactions and posts from most of the Jazz fanz when they're curious about something other than what they've known. I commend @silesian for doing his best to provide information to the community to broaden their interpretation of other cultures.
However there are so many posts by fanz just making the dumbest comments ever with a reference to what they think relates to Bogdanovic's belief's, or values, when it doesn't. Those that do that not only make themselves look stupid, but they tell the world just how far they have never traveled outside of Utah.
Half of ya'll have posts that you don't even realize the degree of ignorance it portrays, mainly because nobody will correct you when they hear you say it. As Utah natives, I would think we would be much better at accepting differences by now. Not everybody believes in the same thing you do, and that should be ok.

You realize that when someone started the “is Hayward god” thread, that nobody really thought he was god, right?

When the Black Jesus thread started, you realize dala didn’t really think Trey Burke was black Jesus?

Not sure why everyone is getting so literal about whether or not Bojan is Muslim. Can’t wait to start the “Moroni Mudiay” thread and get all the “dude, you know he’s not Mormon, right? Right?!” comments.

So people are actually joking around in this thread?

****! I thought Bogdanovich was a Roman. I'm so confused right now.

Dude, I bought a bunch of pontiff attire when I read he was Roman. Now I can’t return it because I burned the receipt!

I’m not from Utah but lived there in the 90s. I’ve also lived in Philly, Baltimore, Hawaii, New Jersey, Pittsburgh, east Tennessee, and upstate South Carolina. I don’t think Utahans are any more or less sophisticated or provincial than people around the country. There is a degree of coastal snobbery vs Utah and the south that I believe is not warranted at all.

Two super clutch shots last night. And a couple nice lobs to Rudy. He might be throwing the lob better than Mitchell right now. Definitely better than Conley.
