The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

The warriors young guys look great so far in the preseason. They are going to be tough this year if Kuminga, Moody and Podz are able to give them strong minutes off the bench to keep some of the older guys fresh. It looks like Gary Payton is also fully recovered from last years injury.

Podz was my only homer pick (hoped he was there at #28) because of the potential fit with us and the natural feel he has for the game. If he takes strides in developing his athleticism at some point he is gonna be really good.

CP38 might mess his development a bit though, if he turns into their 2nd unit floor general. I think best path for Podz is to develop him to be a lead guard.

I dont know if even I would have taken him at #19, but I was sad to see him off the boards.

Podz has been putting up good numbers. He really got on the perfect team for his skillset. Glad to see he proved me wrong, Mad at myself I turned my back on him after being very high on him at some point.

I watched most of the preseason game against the Hawks a couple of nights ago. The Pels' transition defense was abysmal. That better have been a preseason fart.
Check the game vs Rockets few nights earlier and you will think their effort vs Hawks was great.

@NAOS_pt2 few stat nuggets from the Rockets vs Pels game as a teaser. It looked even uglier in practice.

Result 120-87 for Rockets despite both teams shooting around 35% from 3.
Pels had 25 turnovers total, 18 in the first half.

Their starters played 21-24 minutes each and shot 14/38 combined from the field with following box scores.

And again, this was against Rockets.

You didn't really watch a Rockets preseason game, did you?
I have watched 2 actually. They are giving a pick to OKC also so I hope they do well. Plus they got Amen and Cam as interesting rookies (both have had flashes of brilliance).

I dont watch full college or OTE games so I havent seen other than some highlight clips of this years rookies.

Listening to the Lowe Post pod and he is talking with a Cavs dude and they both seriously discussed Niang playing minutes at the 5.

Less than a week from when I predicted the good behavior will stop, it has stopped. Sources close to Harden tell that this is gonna escalate fast if nothing is done. However discussing Harden is not the point here.

Terance Mann is the point.

Sixers reportedly have trades "lined up" to get them a FRP for Mann so they can pursue other guys, and the question is who do you guys think the teams are? Do you think we are involved in this some way? Mann isnt the lead guard we are looking for, but he is better defender than almost any of our guards and imo he could be a better fit next to George than anyone we have, assuming George is the PG we are looking for.
