Bulls winning this much without Zach has to hurt his trade value a bunch.

Okoro is averaging 12-6-3 on 51/45 splits as a starter. He is still someone I'm mildly interested in as a free agnet poach.
I need to look at the cap stuff. I think we may only have room MLE to play with after extending Lauri. Need to reserve like 15M for that. May need to move off some money and there would also be some capholds we’d lose that we may want to keep.

Yeah….I had pegged him as an interesting target before the season. His defense is actually terrific. I don’t know why he doesn’t get mentioned as much as one of the top perimeter guys. He’s a bowling ball that moves extremely well.

Unfortunately, the Cavs need him badly and I think they are starting to realize that. I would have been interested to see if we could have got him in a Clarkson trade.

Not that it can get much lower... but possible suitors may not care about the Bulls suddenly winning. Nobody is trading for LaVine to play as a top option / ball pounder in 2023 - more like a 3rd fiddle perimeter gunner. This is probably the exact role he will have on the Lakers if he manages to worm his way there.

Absolutely amazing performance by Ja Morant in his return. 27 second-half points and just scintillating down the stretch with the game-winning drive at the buzzer.

Not only that but he scored their last 6 and had a steal just before those 6 points.

CJ McCollum and Zion are happy that Ja got all the media focus. Those two combined to produce an airball (CJ), a missed layup (Zion) and a shot that missed the rim (CJ) the last 3 Pels possessions, when Ingram was obviously the hot hand and pretty much automatic and unstoppable in the 2nd half.

By the way, here's a timely reminder about the joys of "building through the draft" and avoiding the hell of being just pretty good:

In other words... you really, really, REALLY need your high picks to hit. There is never any guarantee they will.
