The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

Yes... coming off a finals run with a decent lead at the top of the conference we'd be some whiny *** bitches.
Yet, Im willing to bet it is happening. Fans are kinda ****** these days. Know it all, entitled, whiny bitches. Its how the majority of vocal fans, fan nowadays.

If we were winning, nobody would be bitching. Winning means everything.
Incorrect. We were the #1 seed last year. Best in the nba. Hella bitching.

Geez, East is tough this year. One of these teams is not making the 2nd round. Then there's the Celtics and the Cavs too.

To be fair, much of the concerns were validated in the post-season.
Sure. Thats kinda the point though. Fans will always assume the worst is going to happen. They might be right and they might be wrong but they will always assume the worst.

Maybe. But to be fair, I think the joms of the board are given a bit too much gravity in your assessment. Of course there will be concerns regardless of how good something is because nothing is perfect. I think for the most part, the board had a realistic appraisal of the team while it simultaneously enjoyed the ride. And of course there are those that no matter how damn good Conley or Gobert are will belly-ache and want to trade them at all times. I think they are the exception, not the rule.

Perhaps a truer truism is to say that winning always means less complaining and losing always means more (tanking scenarios or the like notwithstanding). More or less, not all or nothing.

For my part; I’m gonna enjoy the good times as much as I can, understanding fully the shortcomings and the possibility that this falls apart in the blink of an eye.

It's his right hand. Being re-evaluated in 6-8 weeks doesn't mean he's ready to return that soon.

I mean, maybe he just plays through it? That sounds crazy but Bogey’s playing through his, though a ring finger on his non-dominant hand couldn’t be more different than the thumb on the dominant hand in terms of the ability to play through it.

Definitely an interesting development. The Jazz still have to learn how to close close games in any event.

I think this could actually end up being a blessing for the Suns. He'd been playing a lot of minutes since Cam Payne went out with the wrist injury. Granted, the injury CP3 suffered was an absolute freak occurrence that could've happened at any time.

Hes played a lot of minutes in hte last year with their deep playoff run.

He could actually enter the playoffs at 100%.

They have a 6.5 game lead up on the Warriors, and 8 game lead on Memphis. I don't see either of them catching the Suns for the #1 seed.

They will probably be active on the buyout market too - keep an eye on Schroder (Rockets), and Dragic.

Carter and Dennis Smith, Jr both hit the waiver wire today, Carter and Mike Conley were teammates in Memphis. Smith was a lottery selection and Carter a very high second round draft pick.

Jevon Carter is interesting as a backup guard. He probably won't land with the Jazz, but he'd be interesting.

I like Carter for us... but he likely isn't playing over Forrest because he'd be coming in late. He is a pest and will annoy people... not quite the full ******* that we really need but I wouldn't mind having him.

No roster spot if you assume we won't waive someone and will be signing Forrest at some point.
