The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

Still think they have to be a John Collins trade spot. They need talent and they have tradeable contracts. Harden/Collins is at least a dangerous PNR duo.

They could use John Collins for sure. Their backup C might be Kai Jones right now, though they now have Mo Bamba as a drop guy.

I just think they know they're baked. They lose PG13 and Kawhi and their offense is just too thin -- Harden, Mann, Powell, Batum, Zubac with Derrick Jones and Kevin Porter Jr. off the bench. They're looking at a 9 or 10 seed probably. Houston could end up ahead of them.

Yeah and they have no reason to be bad. If they can get Collins for basically free (just expiring contracts) why wouldnt they? They will get desperate.

Again, I really don’t see the John Collins angle for the Clippers because it requires they either trade DJJ or Powell, two players they likely see as already more valuable than Collins. It’s not for free, it’s for one of their few existing and valuable starters.

Backup C just isn’t the position I think a desperate breaks the bank for to begin with….but this is especially the case for the Clippers. Kawhi is out, so they trade one of their starting wings for a backup C? Does not compute for me.

Maybe the NBA should allow teams to rent players for portions of the season. We can rent out Lauri for seconds during the first of the season, protected firsts at the end of the season, and unprotected firsts during the playoffs.

(I'm not being serious)

Still wild to me the Bucks drafted Tyler Smith and AJ Johnson ahead of some of the available players to them.

I dont know what on earth is going on in Denver but they arent looking like a contender at all. I'm sure they are experimenting with stuff and coasting a lot.... but they just squeaked by Minny who basically played their G-league team. Also it looks like Julian Strawther sort of carried them to that W.

This was the Denver rotation:

And this is what the Wolves did:
