What's new

The Official Blow up the team thread.

Do it, and do it yesterday. If they were winning, fine. If they were losing with the intent of rebuilding, i'm ok. If they were losing and were at least fun to watch, I could tolerate it.

But this version of the Jazz is just...awful. It's a Frankenteam. No purpose, no direction, no energy. No joy. Veteran castoffs running a boring and predictable offense, led by a guy with quite possibly the ugliest game in the league. If dumping it in to Al every other play was working, it would make sense, BUT IT'S NOT.

I hate watching this team. It's like watching the last few seasons of the Office. Everything I once liked about them has been pissed away and I just wish they'd pull the plug already. Keep the 4 young kids, get rid of everyone else, and let's move on.

Not happening.

Welcome to the never ending Kevin O Conner mediocrity hell era. Or NEKOCMHE.

You guys are CRAZY! WE are showing sign of getting better. Give it time, buy tickets, bring your pom poms .. and be patient. You'll see...

Couldn't have said it better. My exact thoughts.

Well, I for one would like to wait and see what this team could do when they are all healthy.

We already saw that.

.500 ball is the ceiling.

You want that?

It's why attendance is down.

What's sad is management sees it down and thinks the solution is adding more Foyes Mos and Al's.

Franchise is on a downward spiral.

Their absolute ceiling is a second round exit...and for what? They're all gone after this season anyway. Begin the youth movement.

I don't think the team needs to be blown up, but Jefferson needs to go. I can't believe all these broadcasters talking about how the game turns after a few turnovers. The game turns when people stop playing hard which happens after you watch one of your teammates consistently not give a crap on defense. The last straw was when Jefferson let Horford rebound over him and walked away as Horford scored a layup. Rewatch the last ten minutes and focus on AL's effort on defense. Why does no one call him out?

This.

It's so ironic. The franchise is trying to maintain this "winning culture" partially because they don't think a market as small as this could survive a fall on tank. In reality, they might actually fill more seats if they played The Four 36 mins each.

Agreed. After seeing these guys for 36 minutes a game for a year or two hopefully we could actually make some meaningful personnel decisions. One of our biggest handicaps right now is that other than Hayward, you don't really know who any of the other four can be, even on a game to game basis.

Wait so the guards get a pass for leaving three point shooters open the entire second half, especilly the strech when the starters were on the bench, simply because of AL'S effort on defense?

How about Al's critics hold others accountable for once, when a loss isn't actually his fault. Especilly when the biggest reason we lost, was a stretch led by the bench when the starters weren't on the court, when we loss all momentum.

Can the mods just sticky a couple melty/bandwagonny mega threads? Seems like it would save some effort, not including this one.

But but but we have a bunch of home games coming up... things will be ok (sarcasm)

Also i think when mellow said "i want to wait and see what this team can do when they are all healthy", i think he was being sarcastic as well.

But look how well we react to a team that is 2-games below .500. The Millers are crazy to not throw their whole hearted support into tanking and rebuilding.

I think our ceiling is winning ONE game in the playoffs and not getting swept. I just can't see Corbin outcoaching or outsmarting any opposing coach in this league.

I wish we would.

Even if we started that now and next year was one of our worst records ever.

Imagine if we gave the four 35 minutes a night to see what they are and they end up losing a bunch trying to grow all the while setting ourselves up for Wiggins or Parker.

Imagine the Jazz like the Charlotte Bobcats, it could be worse.

I know it has been better, I agree it could be better, I am uncertain if losing is the way to win in the long run. I'm just at a time and place where I am glad for what I have.
