The *official* Election Day Game Thread!

That’s a huge number to make up for a recount. Will be one, but hard to see him making it up.
Recounts aren't going to help Trump. When recounts are done the disparity is usually due to undercounted/late mail-in and absentee ballots; which are breaking Biden in some states as much as 8 to 1.

Trump is going to cry fraud and try to have the mail-in ballots thrown out entirely.

So wait, if my math is right if Biden stays ahead in Michigan, Nevada and Wisconsin he gets exactly 270 electoral votes needed to win? So PA, Georgia and N.Carolina results will not matter?

Interesting that the only race/gender demographic that Democrats performed better in for this election (2020 compared to 2016) is with WHITE MEN.

All other combos (listed by CNN below) show Trump performing better in 2020. This includes Black Men, Black Women, Latino Women, Latino Men.......

Despite what many progressives, including some on this board, will suggest, these election results have nothing to do with racism. There are a multitude of reasons many Americans reject the principles of either party.

I voted for a female candidate for the first time in my life ( Jo Jorgensen) in the hopes that someday down the line we ditch this stupid two party system that has resulted in each major party putting inept candidates in front of us, and then vilifying the other side.
Yeah, it's a ****ing **** show. The way we consume "news" and form our opinions...it's a **** show.

Yes, until we get to the court challenges.

It's not over until the official tally of EC votes on Jan. 6, or until Trump concedes.

I predict that Trump will never issue a true concession. I think if he loses it will go to the courts and he will bluster about already winning and ****, then when it is confirmed in the courts that the lost, it will just be radio silence followed by a tweet storm that he was cheated yadda yadda yadda.

If I could re-do my vote i would probably either not vote or vote for her as well.

100% - He is a disagreeable, stubborn, egomaniac... him conceding in any dignified form ain't happening.

This is the biggest issue with our system imo. We will never get politicians that are working for the people and the greater good of the country under the two party system. I see no way out though.

I agree. That being said, we need to take the mid-term elections more seriously as a country (me included). The local councilmen become state senators. The State senators become US legislators and governors. Those guys become Presidents. Change happens locally. If we voted for "our guy" in the mid term elections, they could ifluence politics more and more. Bernie is an independent and he weilds a lot of power because a small state voted him in as a mayor.

The more important elections are the local ones. Like you've said, once we get to President, it's too late. It's not left vs right, it's top vs bottom. But the local elections, we can get whoever we want in there. In Seattle, they have a full blown socialist on their council. Primaries and local elections is where change happens.

Thank you... I really like this. I feel helpless and this is a really reasonable approach that is something everyone can do. Going to make this a goal.

He is basically openly fighting against democracy
Just like his buddies in Russia and south Korea. And many Americans support him in his fight against democracy.
Those Americans should maybe look to move to a country that doesn't practice democracy

He's scary and he's tenacious. This could get messy and ugly.

:) Don't wait until Seattle's Socialist council member becomes a state senator then a governor then runs for president. Vote the crazy out at the council member level and not have to worry about it later. lol.

Also, your responses to me are awesome. I need to be more like you. Thanks for the good example.

The next couple of months will be spent in the mud. We’ve been headed here for a long time. Our society is getting what it has earned.
Good thing that things are so calm and there aren't any huge issues facing the country and world right now...

Wisconsin falling to Biden and Michigan the next domino (remaining vote is too urban) really sets up if you think Trump can make up a slow Nevada path with returning provisionals and if the Arizona call is too premature and more R vote in VBM is left to count.

Analysts seem to think that the remaining PA vote might end up pushing Biden back over Trump's lead - guess we'll see but would guess we wouldn't know that until tomorrow.

Quite possible that Biden will hit 270 tonight, but probably depends on how much you believe in the western states and if Biden will ultimately carry them.

As far as the Senate, D got destroyed, hard to sugarcoat it. Even in Michigan, they might squeeze out a small victory, but it's going to be close. In most competitive races, it wasn't competitive at all.

I've been following the news stories, but here is some indication.

Agreed with your last sentence. He is kind of the best of us. Definitely behaves better than I do. I need to practice what I preach better
