Just to underscore your point it's worth noting that China was on a long downtrend - reporting merely hundreds of new cases a day by the time they reached 76k cases. Not so much here in the states.

These graphs chart new cases reported per day, red circle indicates the day each country reached 76k total cases.

/that huge spike in china's graph in Feb reflects reporting of a backlog of new cases, not a sudden spike.

Well China is reaping the rewards of having two months to prepare for this pandemic. Unlike us. Oh wait...

We should insist next time that congress not perform its constitutional duty and let future presidents do whatever they want. Otherwise, we’ll deserve a pandemic.

Great excuse.
Literally everyone knew that Trump would be let off the hook by the repubs. He didn't need to focus on the impeachment with the outcome already known.

That excuse doesn't fly for the way he handles this pandemic.

Btw, is the impeachment still going on? I didn't think it was. So what's his excuse for wanting to restart everything for Easter?
