The official "let's impeach Trump" thread

Senate Intelligence Committee released its report on Russian interference into our 2016 election. The bipartisan report confirms the findings of the Mueller report. It also adds this piece of information.

"Democrats also laid out a potentially explosive detail: that investigators had uncovered information possibly tying Mr. Kilimnik to Russia’s major election interference operations conducted by the intelligence service known as the G.R.U."

“The committee obtained some information suggesting that the Russian intelligence officer, with whom Manafort had a longstanding relationship, may have been connected to the G.R.U.’s hack-and-leak operation targeting the 2016 U.S. election,” Democrats wrote. “This is what collusion looks like.”

What does it take for Trump supporters to wake up to the truth that their guy is not worthy of the office?

His video clip is in the Lincoln Project thread, and, IMHO, it’s one of the best, given he was Chief of Staff for the DHS, and was in the administration for 2 1/2 years, and attended Trump briefings. He claimed yesterday that other former administration officials were in the wings, and that Trump can expect more such statements from others in the near future. I posted that interview in the 2020 election thread.

There needs to be accountability for all this criming. One thing I’m afraid it is the Biden administration being overwhelmed with the effects of the pandemic and failing to prosecute these guys. I truly hope they’re able to walk and chew gum at the same time. Otherwise, what does it benefit to fix the economy in 4 years only to have “The Next Trump” cheat in 2024 and continue down this authoritarian path?

These heat waves are likely to only get worse. The 130 degrees recorded in Death Valley a few days ago is probably the highest temperature recorded on Earth since at least 1931. Thank God both our major political parties are wisely focused on global warming as an issue. Oh, wait....

This is pretty much true. My thermostat is set at 76, I'm lucky if the AC can keep it below 80 in most of the house during the day. It never stops running, except maybe at night for a couple of hours. Should I set my thermostat to 85?

Our AC systems are putting in overtime not only because of excessive heat, but architecture as well. Ten foot ceilings, two story family rooms, just tons of air it's having to try and cool that doesn't have anyone occupying it.
