What's new

The official: Thank you Favors thread.

Favs is an all time great team guy. I will like him and cheer for him no matter where he goes. Hope he gets a ring. I will even cheer for him if he goes to LA or Boston.

Isn’t it ironic that shad of all people starts this thread?

But it’s going to suck to not see him in a Jazz uniform. The guy was a class act. Played through injuries when he probably shouldn’t have and bailed out our asses when we needed it. Remember the game against the bucks? Gobert playing like a wiener and favs comes in and lights a fire in the team. He was disrespected far too much by so called fans on here. And was a constantly consistent when called upon. Too bad it didn’t work out. I wish him the best and hope he kicks *** wherever he ends up.

One of my favorite Jazz players ever. A workmanlike class act all the way. He hasn't done enough to merit his number being retired by the Jazz, but if I had a personal Jazz ring of fame he would be on there. In terms of importance to the franchise he reminds me a lot of Thurl Bailey.

Favors is the man. I hope he goes to the East and starts at center for someone. Wherever he ends up they'll appreciate him as we did.

Love for my man Derrick! Great player, teamates everybody need and want but before all a great person. We gonna miss you Derrick. Just thank you for everything...

And with that the last of the Core 4 era makes a quiet ending with the cake never baking like anyone hoped.

Favors was always more likable than nerdward so in my book of Jazz History it will be refered to as Favors and the core 4.

Now hoping Jazz can find a way to get Atl or another east coast team to take Favors into cap space for a 2nd round pick.
