The Official Who's Ready For This Crap to Be Over Thread?

sword play aside, I'm ready for this crap to end. Count me as one grumpy old man who hates the drama and prefers basketball.

In my opinion this is what the NBA has devolved into. The hype now over shadows the actual contest.

No, the hype is part of the contest. The NBA off-season is great. It's what fuels the drama of the season. The Russell Westbrook show would have been way less compelling without the story of Durant leaving.

Well, I think we start to see some clarity Thursday night at the draft. I think the Jazz make a trade to try and convince Hayward, Inlges and Hill to re-sign. I will be surprised is the Jazz just draft at the picks they currently have.

I think it is fun. I want Hayward to stay and the Jazz to have a contending team, but I can just as easily shift my fandom into rooting for a young team/players again. Once you've been through a couple cycles like this you kind of just learn how to roll with it.

Getting to watch Exum/Lyles/Bolomboy/Draft picks play big/rotation minutes with Rudy next year at a faster pace might be fun in its own way. That being said, I think the next week is going to be really entertaining, as the Jazz are likely to make a couple big moves to keep Hayward here. I still have my hopes set on a non-PG star player instead of settling for a near-star PG to fill a perceived hole.
