The One-Day-Early Let's-Do-It-Again thread - 11/4 da Spurs

Favors is 1-5 in the first half -- hard to win against the Spurs if he doesn't do better than that.

Um, it's not like they're just getting lucky and making a bunch of really tough shots. They're generating wide open shots and solid attacking lanes running Quin's offense. I'm not sure what the problem is with that.

i could count the "wide" open shots on 1 hand. theyve made most of their shots on contested looks.

And if Mack doesn't play.

So we run our offense through Exum? You realize that would be even worse? Why do people think Exum is ready to lead a 2nd unit offense? When Hayward comes back and you can stagger Hood more maybe, but it's clear the Jazz dont want to give Exum too much right now.

lmao not even close. Our 2nd unit offense can get like that when Hood and Hill are out sometimes.

so at minimum half the game? and its true, especially if mack is handling, or if exum is on the floor (he's parked in the corner almost every set)

Ways to win the game. Don't pass on a roll play to Rudy. That's 5 turnovers saved. Play Neto not Mack. Run more isolated plays with Hill.

just saying, for the guy coming in to the franchise having written a 20-page thesis on offensive play design, i havent seen anything beyond passing around the arc with a screen and roll.

You call what the Jazz are doing when Mack is on the floor offense? Make some adjustments so you have Hood, Johnson, or Hill on the court at all times. Having Mack, Exum, Ingles, Lyles and Withey is not going to work.

Yeah, Exum is the main reason for offensive stagnation in the half court.

Just not very possible when Hill and HOod get into early foul trouble and you have Burks/Hayward injured. But then again you dont want to actually analyze anything, just blame Mack.

Like you might not know this, but players have to rest if you want them to have any gas for the 4th quarter.
