You can tell the Slina brothers were businessmen. They have gotten a ridiculous amount of money as a result of a deal they struck to fold the St. Louis Spirits when the ABA and NBA merged. The NBA seriously needs to buy their way out of this deal for the sake of the Nuggets, Spurs, Pacers, and Nets.

Preska told the parties she would review their court filings before making any ruling. In the meantime, she suggested they should try to find a way to share the wealth without one.
"I think you people ought to sit down and talk about this," she said.

That's what judges get paid for - to suggest that the parties settle out of court, therefore leaving less work for the judge.
