The Sweet Science: Boxing

Bradley's a warrior, glad to have seen a handful of his fights over the years. If Mayweather is to come out of retirement, Bradleys earned that fight IMO.

If you get a chance, watch the fight I am referencing. It's definitely a good one on that stuff referenced alone.

Bud Crawford would annihilate Pacquiao, there's no way Manny would last even 7 rounds, he'd brutalize him.. Like most Crawford fights, once he switches southpaw, he'd probably just start teeing off with well placed right hooks.

Yeah, man, I agree. Crawford is a ****ing beast and that ability to change stances is quite confounding for a lot of opponents.

There was a rumor Bradley and Kell Brook would fight to unify the welterweight belts. Bob Arums already kiboshed it.

I'd have to take Brook if it did happen though.

Wlad announced he's going to exercise his option for a rematch in 2016 vs Fury.. Hopefully he finds some motivation in these next few months, that was such a lackluster effort defending the title.

Fight night!! Might actually head out to the Barclays to catch this live. Brooklyn's own 30-1 Daniel "The miracle man" Jacobs (weighed in at 159½) vs Peter 'Kid chocolate" Quillin, who's 32-0 with 23 ko's and weighed in at 159 flat.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NznAB-fxbJM

This fight is gonna produce fireworks. I like Quillin.

LOL - Holy **** was I wrong about this result. There were fireworks though. Good stoppage too, Quillens legs were wobbly and he looked out of it, would've been unnecessary for that to continue Jacobs could hsve hurt him for sure..

Undefeated Quillen gets TKO'd midway thru the first.

Not a good idea to bet against a cancer survivor, defending his title, in his hometown - noted.

Glad I didn't go see this live though.. I know someone who called it how it played out beforehand exactly how it happened. Said Quillen would leave his chin out, and Jacobs would catch him.

LOOOOOOADED Schedule of fights today!!

^^ Epic upset on the Joshua-Whyte undercard. Frenchman Yves Mendy just won the WBC International lightweight belt vs Luke Campbell an undefeated champ(now 12-1), In London. Campbell won the Gold medal in the 2012 Olympics in the Welterweight division.

Should've been a unanimous decision but the British judge, somehow scored it for Campbell.

Didn't watch it but Roy Jones just got KO'd again. In Moscow. Heard it wasn't pretty. Edit - Here it is

https://vine.co/v/iZt21dqqmhq - Joshua ends it with a lift you off your feet uppercut, BRUTAL KO. Great fight. That dude Whyte can sure take a beating. The heavyweight division is looking healthy all of a sudden. Now that Wlad has lost they'll all come out of the woodwork.

Watched fights for all of yesterday, from Noon til Midnight. The best matches I saw were all boxing..

McGreggor-Aldo was short enough to be condensed in a GIF.. How many punches even got thrown?

Bigtime January heavyweight card just got signed.

532x290-WILDER-VS-SZPILKA-Boxing-36b6d4ec59.jpg

At New York (Showtime):

Deontay Wilder (35-0, 34 KOs) vs. Artur Szpilka (20-1, 15 KOs) For Wilder's WBC heavyweight title

Vyacheslav “Czar” Glazkov (21-0-1, 13 KOs) vs. Charles Martin (22-0-1, 20 KOs) - Vacant IBF Heavyweight Championship

Dominic Breazeale (16-0, 14 KOs) vs. Amir Mansour (21-1-1, 16 KOs)

Check out this KO last night from Luis "King Kong" Ortiz!! Who reportedly had an amatuer record of 343-19 in Cuba. where he was a long-time member of the National team, he's 34.

Wasn't ever really convinced Bryant Jennings was all that good, didn't have enough pop. Ortiz looks like a possible world-beater though, heavyweights would be smart to avoid him..

Browne, Wilder, Joshua, Jennings, and all of these international cats.

Outside of the HW Division...

Michel Soro is a good fighter too. Schooled Glen Tapia a few months back.

This dude is on some final boss of the video game ****.. Monster at 200lbs is an understatement, Usyk just got started as a pro and he just turned 29 - he's primed to be the alpha beast of the cruiser weight division for quite some time though..

9-0 with 9ko's as a pro, He will claim the belt in no time, and will destroy everything in his way.. I don't know who'd possibly stop him. Expect a very long winning streak from him. He's the real deal.

Joseph Parker fights in 10 minutes, in Apia, Samoa. He's a -100000 favorite (not a typo) Dude can't get anyone decent to fight him though, he's gonna have to dispatch cab drivers til he gets a mandatory shot.
