The Trade Thread!!

Rumor: Andrei Kirilenko could fetch Jeremy Evans, Toure Murry.

Evans did get to play a bit the past two games, maybe the Jazz are proving that he is still alive so that they can trade him.

Kirilenko is not plying in the nba right now. Plus we wouldn't need to trade anything for him.

I'd rather keep Evans. I wouldn't mind seeing him play more. It's not like we are winning games without him. In fact, if you look at the stats, we win with him playing over 14 min a game before this year.

I think it's really important for DL to do something with Kanter. If we aren't ready to pay him at least 10 million a year, he needs to be traded.

He will get more than Favors...or with the Jazz or in another uniform.

My list of players we should go after(in no particular order

Harrison Barnes. He might be a little better if he were on the Jazz and had more of a chance to be a focal point. Just a thought. Golden State has to start moving a couple people at some point. Don't think they can pay everyone.

Draymond Green. I would love his defense on this team, and his toughness. Same story, Golden State can't pay everyone
Throw a big deal at him this summer. He's a restricted free agent.

Otto Porter. 3rd overall pick in the draft. I think he is good. Just buried on the bench in Washington. They are ready to win now, we aren't. We might be able to strike a deal with Washington.

Anthony Bennett. 1st overall pick in the draft. Incorrectly labled as a bust and is continuing to get a raw deal. Not really getting a chance, especially for a number 1 overall pick. I'd trade for him.

Nik Stauskas. I would love to trade for him. Probably not happening though.

TJ Warren. He has a chance to be pretty good. Phoenix doesn't want to play him. Take a chance I say.

MKG. The kid is still only 21, just barely too. He plays in Charlotte. Maybe he isn't going to be that bad. Fresh start here might do him some good, a long with him just growing up in general. Charlotte might have already given up and might be selling low.

CJ McCollum. Portland might sell low because of his injury concerns. I'd consider some trades for him

Decent list except for Barnes who sucks imo.

We should trade for that Anthony Davis guy before the league figures out how good he is. Don't they call him the brow or something?

Thinking outside the box. . . Jabari Parker has a torn ACL. Not sure if the Bucks would even consider it, but I'd look to see if the injury maybe puts him into play. It would still cost a ton, but there has to be some concern that he may not come back the same player. I'd be willing to take that risk because of the assets that the Jazz have to play with, but I could easily see a GM look to cash out while the value is still high.

The Jazz have positioned themselves to go after an All Star caliber player in the near future by stock-piling assets. This might be a window of opportunity to add a player that could potentially be a franchise changer. . . and one who would be EXTREMELY popular with the local fan base. There's some serious risk for both teams, but the Jazz are in a position to be risky.

It would take two gun slinging GMs to make a deal like that. Neither of our GM or owners fit that profile. I think the Parker ship has sailed. While he was the leading ROY candidate, he wasn't able to hit the NBA three and played lackluster defense - the two strongest areas of need for the Jazz.
