The Trout Man Commeth...

Shameless bump.

Does anyone here have any campaigning experience? I'm being serious. I would bet that Pearl does, but I doubt he reads this. I could use a few pointers to be honest, this crap is a hell of a lot more time consuming and painful than I ever could have imagined. There has to be an easier or more creative way to get your name out.

Ideas?

I don't have any campaigning experience, but I have a couple idea for getting your name out.

You could do a free car wash. Pay some college students to work it for you. have your propaganda all over the place and talk to everyone that comes. I'm sure you could get space in a parking lot in your district for cheap (or free). Get some college chicks to wear bikinis, with one of them on the street holding a big "free car wash" sign and you'll get plenty of traffic. Just make sure everyone leaves with a card/packet/flyer that includes the election date, how to register to vote, issues you support and oppose, etc.

You could also go to the colleges and see if anyone studying political science wants to volunteer for your campaign. You could even do a few unpaid internships.

Bad idea. Those fat chicks from BYU will just scare people away.
Plenty of hot, thin chicks at BYU. Unfortunately, they aren't allowed out of the house without first putting on their funeral frocks and parkas. Bikinis are a definite no-go.

Then how do you know they are hot and thin?

Voyeur?

Bump.

Tonight is "Meet The Candidates" night for T-Ville. It starts at 7pm, and since you're here reading this right now, then you clearly have nothing better to do -- so come and support me, dammit.

At the very worst, there will be candy. At the very best, you can shake hands with a Legend. (if I feel like it)

Any shrinkage yet?

I know, but I was talking about the ones that wouldn't be able to run away if Trout actually approached them.

He's been slimming down though. That reduction from 5XL to 3XL may land him a couple chicks high on Jello salad. Slowed reflexes and all...

Do you write this after coming back from the Mormon guy meetup with the prophet?
Nope. I haven't been to one of those since my dad made me go when I was like 14. Haven't watched General Conference since my mission.

You missed out. I felt more guilty this year than in any year past. That's a good sign, right?

Maybe, if you approve of joining the Unified Police, you could email the mayor and express your support, as a city council candidate, on that issue. He might be willing to help you out if he knows you support this.

I personally don't like the Taylorsville police department. I think they are heavy handed and aggressive. I live in West Jordan and think the West Jordan police are great! They've even given me a couple of speeding tickets and I still don't hate them. I've interacted with them a few times and found them to be truly community minded police officers. The T-ville cops are thugs in comparison.

Just my very humble opinion. I typically support law enforcement, but I think that Taylorsville, West Valley and Kearns have had very poor police departments. Kearns is now in the UPD, and better for it!
