THE TRUTH about Hayworthless and the state of the Jazz after-(whore)ward

Everyone seems to be forgetting about Burks. I see people contemplating the lineup next year and not even mentioning him. Is he really as worthless as everyone, or almost everyone, on here thinks? Could he become the player we once thought he would be?

I reckon he's worth about 3 bucks a kilo and that's generous cause there doesn't look to be much meat on the bone.

No one said we were. I said Hayward PLUS Rudy PLUS another tier 1 all-star would make a team that could compete.

Oh wait this response was from MA. Nevermind. Continue in your trolling.
Why am I the troll. Because I have foresight while you we giving Hayward sloppy kisses. Dont be a scorened lover. He is the same player that you love on a different zip code.

I hope you're wrong and when he proves otherwise you will own up to it. If not, there's no harm in giving him encouragement. We are fans, after all.

Dude i hate watching him play, takes heaps of bad shots which are effective turnovers and does nothing off the ball for anyone else. And for 10 million a year, I'd be willing to do that for a lazy 5 million.

I'll go down with the ship regardless & enjoy the ride but winning a championship should always be the priority. I will be disappointed if we don't operate in a manner that at least has the potential to allow us to contend in the future. I would rather swing & miss than settle for early playoff exits.

Even before his injury? All he has been doing of late is standing in the corner, but that might be by design. You may have noticed Dante doing the same thing. Instead Quin has put the ball in Hay, Hill, and Jingles hand. Now we have a real PG -- Hill was more of a combo guard. Things might change. Burks has tremendous upside because of his athleticism, if he hasn't lost it because of the injuries. There's no reason he can't be a good defender with his quickness.

Lol, like we were on the path to the finals with Hayward. We should have not put all our eggs in the Hayward basket. We overpayed for Ingles so Hayward could have a buddy.

Time to move Joe and Diaw for some other young talent.

Why not sign Chris Johnson and call it good. He's not hiderous and he knows the offense and the system.

I certainly think losing hurts in the short term but I have faith that their is untapped talent on this team. I think our bench is already better than last year. I worry about Favors and if he is healthy I expect a big year. We got nothing out of Burks last year so that is an addition. Exum looks improved and is better than Mack. We have Donovan an above average defender and a guy who can get his own shot. Besides Donovan has the ability to lead something Hayward never really did.

The big thing is I think a lot of these players will play with a chip on their shoulders knowing that Hayward turned his back on them and didn't even mention when he said good-bye. Hayward without coming out and saying implied that the Jazz current team isn't good enough to win. I think this will motivate guys especially like Rudy.

I am also looking to watching Rubio player. He is in his prime and will definitely get guys shots. Jazz will need to retool but not all is lost.

Personally I have always thought that Haywood was way overrated. Hayward is good but we can replace him. I never wanted him as the face of our franchise. He lacks the fight and passion I want in the "leader" of the team. In hindsight, Haywood just doesn't have Jazz DNA. Guys like Mitchell, Gobert and even ingles have the fight and passion I want.

Totally. I've been saying that til my face turned blue but so many swallowed the Hayward's-a-stud propaganda. I'm sad no one saw it til he bailed. Now many are licking their wounds consoling themselves that maybe we he wasn't so great after all. I feel bad for everyone - even Jazz management (who are largely responsible for this fiasco).

BUT I'm optimistic. I love this team. The guy i hated is gone. Regardless of record this is a team I can root for.

AND, not only do I not see much drop off without Howdy Doody, I think they could be better - addition by subtraction. I never felt comfortable with the ball in H's hands in the 4th quarter. The kid is not clutch and never has been.
I feel a million times better about Hood and I still believe in Burks. Only thing is health. The jazz should re-hire that chiropractor, Craig Beuhler. He worked wonders on John and Karl. Can't hurt. The jazz have dealt with a lot more injuries ever since the jazz parted ways with him. I don't believe in the magic spray. Beuhler's even endorsed by Stockton.

This was a big point in my OP. Hayturd is a good 2nd fiddle, but without a true first fiddle, or a couple of them, we won't be chasing rings anytime soon. Now we don't have that 2nd fiddle anymore either so we are a full 2 solid all-star caliber players from realistically challenging in the playoffs in any meaningful way.

This too.

I like how your initial statement is somehow hard truth or breaking news when we've been talking about just that for months.

And the rest has been talked about for days lol.
