The Walking Dead

Will they find the girl? Yes...maybe as a zombie.
Will Merle turn up again for real and not just in hallucination form? Yes.
Is it Shane's or Rick's baby? Neither. It's Glenn's babay.

I find myself getting and more and more annoyed of the characters each week...especially the female characters. The only person I can stand at this point is Dale and maybe Daryl. He acts like a hardass, but he has a big heart. Heh

I've also been watching American Horror Story...which I probably like more than Walking Dead. I don't remember the last time I watched this much TV. I guess it's my way of filling the NBA void. :(

In a spin to help promote Twilight it will be a zombie's baby (she's a freak like that) and it will start eating her from the inside and so they'll let a zombie bite her so she can have the baby then keep her and the baby in the barn. You ask wouldn't a zombie (or vampire) biting them even from the inside turn them? Well I didn't write this and if your questioning the reality of a show based on zombies being real then uhmmm go figure out how superman goes from flying super fast to super duper fast, a fart maybe?

This show is starting to grate my nerves. The most interesting plot line at this point is "Can Glenn get laid twice?" and that is a problem. The discovery of the Zombie Farm is interesting, but I'm guessing it will turn out as a religious thing.

Will they find the girl? Yes, she is in the Zombie Barn.

Will Meril appear? No, he will just be a constant voice in Darryl's head tempting him to betray Shane and Rick.

Is it Shane or Rick's baby? Clearly it is Shane's. I think she will tell him about it in a moment of near death, then survive.

ALSO, does anyone else find the actor who plays Rick to be **************************************** terrible?

I have to agree with you. This series was just okay to begin with IMO. Every passing episode is just more boring and drawn out.

I realize they do it for the drama of the show but I'd be fine with any of the women getting got their whiny drama hissy fits have me eating my own brains, well except for the farmer/doc's daughter.

I think the big problem is that the cut the budget for season two so they are really drawing things out. Seems like this season is "stuck." Hopefully the midseason finale will move things along. Also their search for the girl is getting pretty sorry now. Also how quickly did Carl make an amazing recovery?

Yes, the search for the girl is the most ridiculous thing. I think they are just using it as an excuse to stay on the Farm though. More people need to die, more zombie heads need to be exploded.

I agree. They need to have some kind of conclusion with this search and leave this farm. As for Carl's recovery, he drank from the fountain of youth I guess. You know, that well with the fat zombie's lower half still floating around in.

Agreed. Seems that the zombies trapped in the barn are destined to get loose. Hopefully Hershel gets eaten by his wife and son.

It seems a lot of people have been drawn into the series expecting a George Romero-like zombie-fest. The graphic novels were more about the survivors than the zombies, and the TV series is also taking that route, which is fine with me. I've enjoyed it so far, but the books were/are much better.

Perhaps they could kill a few zombies while sexing it up. We could have the best of both worlds then.

This.

I started reading the books after I started watching the series and I think the show is taking the right direction. From the books I can tell you there is plenty of room for tension and action between and among the survivor groups, as well as others they meet along the way. My prediction is they are not on the farm much longer, and there will be a standoff between Shane and someone from the group that results in something bad happening. I don't think they will find the girl, or they find her as a zombie (that would be the best result IMO), which will further drive in the wedge between Rick and Lori's struggling marriage and she "I told you so"s him.

On another note, was anyone surprised how Rick took the news of Lori and Shane hooking up? My family was divided. I thought he would be ok with it, for the most part, given the circumstances, and my wife thought he would be devastated by the news.

Anyway, so far one of my favorite current TV shows. Nothing spectacular or earth-shattering but entertaining and gripping.

I'm fine with it too, and for the most part am enjoying this season. However, I'll echo the other complaint that taking 5-6 or whatever episodes to find this girl is getting ridiculous.

I understand the tension building aspect. I just get so frustrated with the characters of Rick,Shane, and Lori. They three are all extremely annoying and are over-acted. My current main reason for watching the show is because the character Maggie is a freaking fox.

I agree with the little love-triangle being horrendously over-acted. Rick is going to have wrinkles the size of the grand canyon on his forehead when this all is over if he can't ever find a different facial expression than painful-loyalty.

I think they are headed to a major 3-way explosion that ought to be very entertaining.

A couple things that have kind of gotten buried this season that I would like to see resolved are:

Why did Rick stop the radio communication to the man (was his name Morgan?) and his son from Rick's first day in the zombie-filled world? I wonder what happened to them. Also Merle, but I care less about Merle than the man and his son.

What did Jenner tell Rick at the end of last season? He whispered something in his ear. Web speculation was that he told him that Lori was pregnant, but that was shot down in Rick's first radio broadcast to Morgan in the first episode of this season, where he almost tells Morgan something important he had learned at the CDC, but then thought better of it and didn't say anything over the radio. His wife being pregnant would mean nothing to Morgan, so that wasn't it. What did Jenner tell him?
