The Walking Dead

Swears and cusses don't offend me, but the number and randomness they were used in Deadwood reached the point of ridiculousness and became distracting for me.

"Do you want a ****sucking whiskey?" "Yes I want a mother****ing whiskey. Oh, and bring me a **** steak, too." "Okay, have a nice ****sucking day you **** mother****er."

I will try that ****sucking show again.

Working on a Navy ship would have been pretty distracting for you as well. I image so would have been living in a frontier mining town filled with people who had maybe the equivalent of a 1st grade education.

I loved Deadwood. I think the casting and acting were out of this world fantastic. I found the characters to be very believable, including their use of swears.

Spoilers.

Damn TWD has to spoil any sort of suspense. The ending, Im speaking of.
Also find it ridiculous how the fresh walkers in the cell moved ridiculously slow. The elderly move faster than that.
Glenn choked for like 10 minutes on his blood and vomit and still lived.

Ah, but all in all, pretty decent episode.

I also think that they should do a Walking Dead kind of thing in the way that Crash was set up, except have groups of people, or characters that are solo that are in different regions of the United States instead of being in one state. To show how the country is reacting to something so diabolical as a Zombie Virus would be awesome.

I like how this one was about Herschel. I've always liked his character, even when he was an ignorant pain-in-the-butt farm owner before his place got swarmed.
One thing of note - we didn't get to see Daryl's reaction when he confronted Rick about Carol. I wanted to see that. Maybe that'll be the fireworks they start the next episode with? Who knows.

My complaint about last night's episode: Why were Rick and Carl so quick to open the gate when a van that has never been seen pulls up? It could have been anyone but they ran and opened the gate like they immediately knew who was there. Other than that, solid episode.

So... what do the comics indicate the Governor's going to do? What's his deal? Obviously, he's still alive and hanging around and considering doing some bad things... do they have an all out war or something in the comics?

More or less.

I thought fences at prisons were like super strong and stuff? These fences are just gates they put up to look like fences.

I don't think they are. Why build an expensive fence when you can post a guy in a guard tower with a rifle. It is that rifle that keeps the prisoners in. The fence is just there to slow them down.

And how hard could it be to reinforce them for real? All they have is time and manpower. With time and manpower Hitler built the first freeways across the entire country. With time and manpower they could have filled the space between the fences with deadwood or dirt or cement or dead pigs or unused prison mattresses or old cars or hell human *****, or whatever, leaving one spot open to cross at the gate.

Yeah. That's what I'm talkin about! We would kill it in zombie apocalypse

I very strongly recommend the comics. But only if you have a strong stomach for dark stories. Some major differences between the show and the comic. The comic is 1,000 times darker. No contest.

The twins, Dale (my favorite and exceedingly messed up), Michone/Governor, Andrea, Glenn, Carl/Shane, Carl again, lori/baby...

Absolutely not for kids. Period.

Negan makes the Governor look like Mother Teresa.

I liked the direction it took. The Governor went thru the fire and when he burned his family pic it showed that he has let go of the past. I do not think he means any harm to Ricks group because they are Ricks group. He wants the prison and sees Ricks group as an obsticle. Nothing more.

After watching part of The Talking Dead after I am starting to think that the Governor and Rick will both have groups of people that are up to 20 in size and that they will work out a tense alliance. Where they support each other from walkers and any other bad guys while keeping an eye on each other from a respectful distance.

Rick has - himself, Carl, Michonne, Tyrese, Sasha, Daryl, Maggie, Glenn, Herschel, that doctor guy and assorted kids and unimportant adults.

Governor has - himself, Martinez, two women and a kid.

Where is the other henchman and Carol. Will they both join the Governors group?

Personally I would have had Carol find him in the pit with the little girl. More of a "oh crap" moment.
