Theo Ratliff endorses "Youngevity" products on the Alex Jones show

Right, because tens of tousands of years of plant life growing didn't deplete the soil, just the last 40 years. Even though the soil gets replenished of minerals (by fertilizer and by rain), and vitamins are chemicals tht plants produce themselves, there is some other sort of nutrient for humans that is being diminished.

Exactly.
"Big Agra" doesn't use fertilizer, they just lean on GMO's.

Anyone that knows anything about farming will tell you that you have switch up the places you farm every couple years.
But wait..... they don't have to do this because they just change the genetic make up of the vegetable in order to suit there needs.
Sounds pretty healthy for our genetic make up.

I'd look for a study One Brow, but those studies don't exist in the long term yet.

Thank you for displaying your massive ignorance. Even with crop rotation and GMOs. fertilizers massively increase yield.

Oh no problem my friend, I'm always happy to oblige.

Big agra does not follow crop rotation methods or fertilize.
They're all bought and paid for by Monsanto, and Monsanto provides these GMO seeds, that by the way, do not reproduce like normal heirloom seeds.

It is true that many GMO seeds do not reproduce. As far as crop rotation, I live near farms, and see fields go from corn to beans and back to corn. Occasionally I even see/smell fertilizer being spread.

I also live by many farms, and most of that local produce ends up being sold on the farm itself, a farmers market, or to a local supermarket.

I'm talking about the farms that are used to produces your typical american food item. Any corn chip, potato chip, Cheese It, whatever.
The kind of produce that you find at your local Wal-mart.

Those must be small farms.

I live in Illinois. You think our corn doesn't go to Wal-Mart?

The FDA doesn't validate products that haven't undergone a rigorous amount of clinical testing that validates the claims. What villains.
The FDA doesn't regulate supplements. They've only stepped in a couple of times when products have been shown to cause harm (like ephedrine). Meanwhile, the snake oil salesmen countinue to get rich.

FDA also let's quite a few claims be made without challenging the validity of the statements. Hey, I hope everyone (well at least the guys) is much larger by now.

I'm amazed this thread has made it beyond the first page and gotten comments from Silencer and OneBrow. Pretty good for any thread in NBA General, especially in the off-season.

Sorry, but I believe the FDA stepped in when it came to the synthetic version of ephedrine (patented as "ephedra") that companies were putting into weight loss pills.

Meanwhile, the snake oil salesmen countinue to get rich.

I wonder if the snake oil salesmen turn these kind of profits?

I also wonder when the last time was that a company providing an herb or whole food supplement was ordered to pay/settled for this much in a scandal?

Then there's the almighty Phizer settlement that we all know about as well.

Naturally, settlements are proportional to sales/income. Fortunately, no snake-oiler has an income comesurate to Pfizers.
