There might be a market for Evan Turner in Utah?

The former No. 2 pick in the draft is having the best season of his career. With Andre Iguodala out of the picture, his minutes are up, as are his points, rebounds and assists per game.

What hasn't really changed is Turner's inefficiency. There are nights when he truly looks worthy of being the No. 2 pick, but there are as many or more times when he is frustratingly wild. For a player who is already 24 years old and has almost three seasons under his belt, that's cause for concern.

The Sixers would love to get a sweet-shooting 2-guard or a real power forward in return. Given Turner's upside as a player with great versatility, there might be a market for him in a place like Utah, which is searching for a young guard who can handle the ball.

Millsap for Turner doesn't work straight up, because the Sixers would need to add about $570,000 of salary in return but that shouldn't be a big problem.

I wouldn't do it. I still look at Burks/Hayward as the future wings and unless we want Burks out there full time at PG I don't want to do this. IF we actually feel Burks is the PG for the future then the line-up isn't bad:

Burks
Hayward
Turner
Kanter
Favors

He doesn't need to live up to a number 2 pick in this role. He's shooting 38% from three this year so he could spot up when needed, but he also is decent putting the ball on the floor and a good passer. His rebounding is also a plus.

I'd rather get Archie Goodwin or Victor Olidapo in the draft, but there could be a scenario where the Jazz would trade for a guy just to preserve player value on the roster. For example, if the Jazz are 90% sure they're going to lose Millsap as a free agent, they could pick up Turner to hold or trade later and hence get some value back for Millsap. Otherwise, he's a bit redundant with Hayward, albeit better in some respects.

Philly could conceivably swing a deal that brings them Sap and Redick.

I would love it. Turner would be the best playmaker on the team. He'd allow Hayward to play SG instead of SF too.

It's true that Turner might make a good option at SF. He's also another guy who can run pick-and-roll. His rebounding is probably his most impressive skill.

Did someone say Turner?
I agree with the above. And don't forget we have Foye who has to get 25 mins per Corbin's order. We don't need another hero, ummm, I mean shooting guard.

Burks/Hayward/Turner perimeter = very hard to guard if they can learn to balance the ballhandling. On paper.

Thaddeus (sp?) Young might be an interesting 3rd big as well. But I fail to see how Philly bites.

Who are the other 10 'impact' players, according to Ford?

Just guessing....

Al Jefferson, Josh Smith, Eric Gordon, JJ Redick, Ben Gordon, Brandon Jennings, Marcin Gortat....

Who else?

I'd take Turner, but it wouldn't change anything. He's a mid-level player with some nice traits like rebounding and ball handling. What we really need is a stud (obviously). It would have been nice to get Lillard last year but as it is, I think nothing really changes on this Jazz team unless Favors turns into something special.

If he's so sweet why would the 76ers be keen to give him up for a 1/2 rental of Sap?

Yeah agreed.

Having said that, I would offer Millsap & GSW pick for Turner.

We still have our own pick to play with, plus we have a pretty decent back court for years to come. Hayward & Turner would be fun to watch, playing off of each other.

1. Josh Smith

3. Andrea Bargnani
4. Al Jefferson or Paul Millsap
5. Marcin Gortat
6. JJ Redick
7. Evan Turner
8. Danny Granger
9. Carlos Boozer
10. Kevin Garnett

I would love to hear an answer to this question. But if that is the only price to pay, i would love to have him either. Just cut Tinsley, Watson and Marvin minutes and we have enough room for him at rotation. He can play multipile positions and distribution of minutes among other back court players shouldn't be a problem.
