You believe that the automobile bailouts were bad? Why?
Why not just let them file Chapter 11 (reorganization bankruptcy) like every other business? From what I understand, a huge portion of the money given to the car companies went to support the unions rather than actually bail out the companies themselves. And as it stands, the US is set to lose 23 billion on the bailout. How was this in any way a success?? And have you read up on what GM is doing now? 7 out of every 10 cars built by GM are built outside the U.S. GM is also outsourcing more and more of it's manufacturing, specifically to China. Why are the tax payers bailing out a company that is sending more and more of it's work to China? With the rants you go on about sending money to other countries I'd think this would bother you.
