I want to give them all time under Snyder before I start wanting to move pieces. I have hope for all the big pieces of this team.

But it appears Kanter is this years scapegoat. No pleasing some people, they just want to complain.

His passing could improve. Kanter should be out 18 feet or further along the baseline, and Derrick should be roaming the opposite baseline and waiting.

In all fairness to the haters (of which I was NOT one of) Trey was playing huge chunks of one-dimensional basketball - and put forth a very underwhelming performance in the Summer League. Now he's taking the ball to the basket and breaking down the defense - and it seems like he's really, really good at it. To me watching him and Gobert has been the single most exciting thing about The Jazz this pre-season - and that's saying a lot.

Yet, Burks leads the team in scoring, Gobert, leads the team in rebounding and blocks and Kanter has the highest scoring game of the pre-season. Bottom line is these guys are all very close and capable of being the "best" player on any given night.

Jazz lead in fastbreak points last night 20-6. Ty was too stuck on old ideas to realize that a young fast team should run. And that is pretty bad. It is really hard to evaluate a coach, but it sure looks like those of us who highly sceptical of Ty were right. And lets hope that Snyder is a genius too.

Wait, wait. You think think a team full of athletic guys under the age of 25 should try to run? C'mon man!

In fairness to Corbin, Jefferson and Marvin were pretty slow, and he had to play them big minutes, so maybe running wasn't a great idea.

I heard at least two national guys when broadcasting games last year, one was a Barry, that the Jazz should run more, so it was not just me. Ty is not a stupid guy in general, but as a high level b-ball hc he is an idiot.

For sure. They have been our best three players.

I give the slight edge to favors just because he has really controlled the paint

That isn't a good excuse. 85 percent of the board wanted Trey and then because he didn't come in and play like Stockton, people started criticizing him and talking trade. This has happened with DW, Hayward, Burks, and Kanter. Favors has received some criticism but the least of all our Core guys. The same thing happened with Exum. People need to realize that few players just jump into the NBA and dominate. Heck, Malone only averaged 14 pts his first year, but you could see his greatness. Stockton didn't he play much and then was a backup. Everyone should just take a chill pill. Now I am not saying that no one of the players shouldn't be criticize, I am only saying it shouldn't be so over the top.

This is the first year that Favors, Hayward, Burk, Burke and Kanter are going to start and play together so give them some time to work it out. Beside the fact no player is perfect. As consistent and great Stockton and Malone are they still managed to put up stinker games even as vets.

I don't think it was about not dominating - I think Burke developed some awful habits his rookie season. Maybe it was the rookie wall, maybe the injury, maybe Corbin - who knows. And quite frankly he was horrible in the summer league too against inferior talent. Maybe I shouldn't be defending the haters (whoever they are) I'm just saying the criticisms were warranted.

Well, that may have been an excuse two years ago, but Utah didn't have Big Al last season. Ty DID have the exact five guys we think will be starters this season. Oh wait, Ty HAD to start RJ and Marvin because, well, just because. So the team couldn't run with those two on the court. But as the lyrics go from my daughter's favorite song (and that of a billion girls around the planet): "Let it go...the past is in the past"
