I think its even more obvious today that Corbin is not the leader we need. This team isn't maximizing it's talent at all.
I don't care about the wins and losses, we look sloppy, and unprepared. Look at the Suns under Hornacek.
Much better looking team. These players are going to take a while to get better, but you can tell Ty is also to blame.
The guy just can't maximize talent, and never has.
It's remarkable how stupid some of you are. The Jazz being the worst team in the NBA isn't a good thing - it just shows our core is overrated and that the team has nothing to put around whatever young stud they draft. They'll struggle for years, and even if they draft an eventual superstar it's guaranteed the guy will leave the Jazz the second he can. I see us having a few good years similar to the Hornets with Paul, and that team won one playoff series.
This team is set for the future.
Hayward and Kanter are starting to show the hell up. Burks is right there and Favors needs to get his head straight and just own it.
After this year Biedrins, Tinsley, Lucas, Clark and Harris are gone. Jefferson, Williams and Rush are maybes.
So you have:
Favors/Gobert
Kanter/Evans
Hayward
Burks
Burke/Neto
Plus 3-4 draft picks (how many 2nd rounders do we have?) draft picks, Obviously you need a wing - Wiggins or Parker anyone. So draft well then use the free agent period to fill in the roster. I would like to see Jefferson back in a late wing bench role.[/QUOTE]
Man, I was right there with you until the last sentence. Jefferson just isn't good and his drop off from here is going to be exponential. I would rather see us retain Williams if we have to keep one of the current vets. People like Williams and Jefferson can be had for relatively cheap. Most years the Jazz can create one from garbage they sign off the side of the road.

Then, we look completely different next year:
Burke/Hinrich or Collinson
Hayward/Burks
Parker or Wiggins/Marvin or Rush
Favors/Humphries or Blair
Kanter/Gobert
Better. I really feel like with Parker/Wiggins, this team is just a PG and backup big away from really being a great team. Can Burke be that guy? I sure hope so.
What we really have at this point:
PG - none/Burke/none
SG - Hayward/Burks
SF - none/none/none
PF - Favors/Kanter/none
C - none/Gobert/none
Hopefully a couple of things happen this offseason. One, we get Wiggins or Parker. Two, we sign a vet PG to come in and compete with Burke for the starting role. Favors or Kanter accept that they need to be a C and not a PF, or we realize that every once in awhile we will be completely mismatched at the C position. Finally, we get a real coach.

So you accept that the return of Humphries to the Jazz is inevitable? You. sir. have been studying your Nostradamus!
<=== Owns a Kris Humphries Jazz jersey
Good work.
That roster competes for the playoffs NEXT YEAR.
put neto in there as the third string point
I'm very intrigued by your analysis, please go into further detail regarding Charlize Theron and how she fits into the future of the Jazz. Thanks. The Norm points to an important Q.
If today's Jazz are the worst team in NBA then Wiggins won't cut it alone, and one feels obliged to agree about that!
That said, this team sux not because CoreX (=insert 4-5 whatever) are bad, au contraire they are playing well (sub-par sometimes sure, but good stats are there, and Burke is injured) .
This team sux because it is bad by design.
Bad 2. and 3. string PGs, very thin bench and even thinner Gobert :::> this team is destined to fail.
At the end, no need to push the panic button!
To do list
Charlize Theron,
Bring in a good 2. string PG like Nate Wolters (yeah Jackrabbits baby),
bring in a shooter and Wiggins
AND A COACH,
you got yourselves a championship caliber team!
this is your team!
It's the effort. They're all dragging *** whenever things start to go downhill. That's a sign of no leadership from the coach. Never happened under Sloan.
