With Trump's Loss, Murdoch's Fox News Faces Wrath And Tough Choices

Rupert Murdoch struck an alliance with President Trump early on, and Fox News has bolstered his presidency. With Joe Biden's victory, Fox is stepping warily to avoid alienating Trump supporters.

And I’m not confident that they’re going to make the responsible choice.
1. Because Fox News is run by many horrible people. It’s baked in. They have many talented and horrible producers and show hosts.
2. Hate and anger is addictive, which is a great money maker. And half the country hates our democracy. They’d prefer authoritarian autocracy to our democracy. They proved that by voting for Trump.
3. They’re trying to let Trump supporters down easily. But their 3 top hosts are still churning out racism, conspiracy, and hate like any day of the week that ends with “Day.” They’re already demonizing Biden BEFORE THE ELECTION HAS EVEN BEEN CALLED.
Just watch, Hunter and Burisma is going to be the “new email server and Benghazi.” The vote counting will become the new “birth certificate”, making Biden illegitimate. They will feed off Qanon conspiracy and make a new attack on Biden every single day. Just as they did to Obama and Bill Clinton. Hate sells.

Sadly, they will belittle and attack every attempt to pass needed legislation at a time that we desperately need legislation passed. Fox News will continue to divide and hurt our democracy, because it’s just too damn lucrative not to at a time we desperately need unity. The Murdochs only care about money. They don’t care how many won’t take covid seriously and will die. They don’t care if they destroy freedom of the press because they support authoritarianism. They just want money.

Moscow Mitch will do his part, in pretending to care about the deficit again. He’ll blame “liberal Democrats” wanting to spend money we don’t have on covid relief. And he’ll torpedo any proposed legislation over the next 4 years in the hope that killing the economy and country will bolster Republican chances of winning in 2024. Any Republican that steps out of line to work with Biden (Collins, Romney, etc) will be attacked without mercy and primaried by someone from their right flank.

and half the electorate will fall for it because they’re addicted to Fox News.

Fox News is already laying the groundwork for their viewers to view Biden as illegitimate. Imagine what this is doing to our democracy now and for the future. There isn’t a network on the left that can compare. It’s only a minute long, watch this:

The sad thing is this shows that the election can be bought by the media and giant tech companies acting as super PACs. I don't see how a Republican can win in the future when every 4 years the media can spin up a narrative causing chaos and the tech companies can censor anything bad about their Democratic candidate while highlighting only good news about their candidate and bad news about the opponent.

All the media had to do with Trump was report what he said. Every time he opened his mouth - hey, he didn't even have to open his mouth -- just looking at his face he was so easy to read. A disgusting, filthy m-fing pig. What is he doing now with the Pandemic getting out of control? Playing golf and complaining that he was cheated. Did it ever occur to him that he is supposed to be the President and trying to help the country get through this difficult time? He has got to be the biggest a-hole in American political history and a bigger a-hole than anyone I have ever read about anywhere, anytime.The Orange Ogre.jpg

Add to that the fact that we are currently subsidizing the rest of the world to provide pharmaceutical companies with obscene profits, and our system is just flat out broken. Until we have some level of cost regulation it won't matter if there is a universal insurance if that insurance still has to support the profit system of the medical companies.

But even in our current system with a single payer system it would greatly reduced overall cost to the consumer as well as provide at least basic insurance for everyone.

But we can't have that because dat socialism is da DEBIL!!!

You got that right about healthcare costs. Big Pharma is totally corrupt and holding our healthcare hostage.
