What's new

This organization ****ed up

I'm so happy I missed this game. Looks like one of the worse ones of the season.

I disagree that the careers of Kanter, Favors, and Burks will die. They'll go on to have successful careers...on another team.

As long as Corbin is coach, If I were the agent for any of those three players, I'm advising them to bolt the Jazz at the first possible opportunity, even for less money.

What makes me the most sad is that we have 2 players that won't be on an NBA team in the beginning of next season higher on the depth chart than Burks. (unless we're stupid enough to re-sign Watson/Tinsley)

I'm pretty sure at least Tinsley will be coming back.

We can't resign Tins unless Corbin agrees he's 3rd string behind Burks from here on out.
Watson. It was nice knowing you. Thanks for the lobs.

This organization has got me messed up.

Jazz lose 2 in a row and I don't know if I should be fuming mad or leaping for joy?

Al carries the team for a time against the Bulls then disappears down the stretch--does that show how much we need him or how the jazz are better off without him?

Milsap gets smoked, should I be glad and hope that they decide to trade him or sad that his trade value has gone down?

Or does it show that he is undersized and getting old, or is he not able to play alongside Jefferson?

Watson comes back from injury and he plays ahead of Burks but he doesn't help us win any games...okay, actually I have quite a bit of internal clarity on this issue. Mmmm, back to my rant.

The team has 7 FAs so it is going to look very different next year, but the 7 FA play the bulk of the minutes this year, so what jersey should I buy?

Al disappeared against the Bulls because of two things. The first being that we didn't have a guard who could throw an entry pass to him (Burks), second was that the Bulls were super over playing him and was daring the Jazz to have someone else beat them other than Jefferson. Since the Jazz kept trying to go to Jefferson and not try to just run their offense they got smoked.

You have no idea what you are talking about...just sayin.

I'm not saying Burks is a terrible PG, he just couldn't throw in an entry pass to Al after Noah started overplaying him and denying the ball. Re-watch the 4th quarter, there were a couple of turnovers just because they stole the entry pass. Al was on fire until that started happening, they couldn't even get him the ball, hard to say he disappeared in the 4th, more like he was smothered. If the Jazz would have just ran their flex routes and their normal non-al set, then they would have opened the floor a lot more than just trying to force the issue.

I do know what I am talking about, re-watch the 4th quarter and see what I am talking about. After doing that you can contact me through PM, email, facebook, text me or however you want and tell me how wrong you were for doubting me. Just sayin'.

How's Japan this time of year??

82games.com just updated their stats today.

Jefferson is worst on the team (among regulars...Murph is worse) in net +/- ((oncourt +/-) - (offcourt +/-)). That is, when Jefferson is on the court, the Jazz get outscored by 2.3 pts/48; when he's off the court, the Jazz outscore their opponents by 2.4 pts/48.

The 3 worst regulars in terms of opponents' pts/48 (defense) are Mo, Al and Randy at 1.11 pts/possession.

Also of note: Among the 4 bigs, Kanter has the highest eFG% on jumpers and has the lowest % of his buckets assisted. He seems to have cut down on getting stripped. Now he just needs to learn how not to get his passes picked off. Promising.

Agree. The PG's and SF's had ample opportunity to step up and hit shots. The game was lost because Utah was playing 3 on 5 at the end. Carroll missed shots, Burks missed shots,
From the time the game was tied at 71 early in the 4th, Carroll, Williams and Burks missed a combined 6 shots, most of them pretty easy looks. Down the strecth, Chicago just abused the bigs down low, getting FT's or easy buckets. It was one of the worst final 2 mins. I've seen.
