What's new

This team just doesn't give up...

At the end of the 1st quarter I was thinking, "Well, they've come back against other teams but I don't think they are going to against this team."

Boy was I wrong... I'll take down 50-46 at the end of the half anyday of the week after that start against this team... And aside from the small run for the Lakers due to the star treatment of Kobe Bryant, I think we still have the momentum...

There is a ***** in the Lakers armor this year and it's their bench... Sloan exposed them beautifully...

This is why I think Sloan is a better coach than Phil... Because he gets below average to average players to play well above their head if they're willing to put in the work and the effort... He puts these guys in a position to be successful...

Give Sloan a Kobe Bryant or a Lebron James and I guarantee he wins just as many championships as Phil Jackson does, probably more... Marquee players don't want to come to Utah, so Sloan is forced to work with what he has and draft successfully... I would love to see that chicken **** Phil try that, I bet he wouldn't be as successful...

I love the "No quit" attitude of this team, and for all of you Sloan haters, I hate to burst your bubble but thats the reflection of the head coach... The team mirrors the head coachs persona... It's a widely known fact...

There is one thing I know about Jerry Sloan... He isn't a quitter and his team shows that night it and night out...

Here's to you Sloan... Hoping you finally get that elusive coach of the year award that you've been screwed out of oh so many years...

lol racist humor in the OP.

THE CHINAMAN IS NOT THE ISSUE.

"*****" in the armor? asian american, please.

We're getting lots of help from our opponents, but the basic premise of this thread is one hundred percent accurate. Unlike any other Jazz team I can remember, this team doesn't quit. Enormous credit to Jerry for putting the world's most unorthodox second unit on the floor that is paying huge dividends for us. And the unselfishness on the team is like nothing we've seen. But this all has to be IN ADDITION to actually playing great ball from the opening tap. Otherwise, we'll find out quickly it won't work.

The most important thing is we're putting these wins on the board when the schedule is hardest. It only gets easier in January. So this is truly unbelievable.

Reminds me a bit of the 06/07 Jazz (only more talented), who, if I remember correctly, had some pretty decent comebacks (especially early in the year), and ultimately went on to the Western Conference Finals.
