What's new

This video makes me feel a little better about the pick.

I don't want to name call, but you're freaking retarded. How does that video make "hayward4mvp" feel better? ****ing hack.

First off. The word retarded is way inappropriate. Secondly, I have been on this board for years and wanted to make a new name. I liked this name because I was just stunned. ****ing relax.

He likes big shots. Here we wins the Indiana HS State Championship on a buzzer beater.

This all helps. You don't draft Gordon freakin Hayward at 9 unless you've really done your homework. I have to believe KOC and company watched a lot of his games. They had to see something that doesn't turn up in the numbers. Day one of talking myself into Hayward is going fine.

Other than the 3s, I really don't see him getting those shots off in the NBA. Just doesn't have the athleticism.

There are a lot of players who dont have elite athletic ability who find ways to score and get their shots off. Hell, if he cant, we always have THE CURL!!!!

For being not being athletic he sure can rebound. From what I hear he's a lot more athletic than people give him credit for.

I am not comparing Hayward to Bird, but he was not athletic at all. He had incredible court sense, and innate ability to create his own shot. I am not sure that Hayward has this, but he is certainly a lot more athletic than Bird was. I am really cautiously optimistic.

After watching the Ohio State highlights, he does look like someone that can come into Utah, play the starting SF spot ala Russell, average 15 and 7 a night. If he can know the offense perfectly, hit open shots, and play good team defense, then Utah probably made a good pick. Is he an All-Star? No. But, with what was left, if you can get 15 and 7 for 6+ years at #9, then you made a good pick.

All of his shots in the first Video came of kick outs on Dribble penetration with his feet set. I can see D-Will getting him that kind of shot a lot. Plus coming of screens around the FT line Like Harpring did with Stockton. If the Kid can come in and rebound from the 3 plus knock down open Jumpers he might turn out to be an OK pick

One, that was in a different time without as many high flyers. Two, you're not giving Bird near the credit he deserves as far as his athleticism.
