Forfeit?
Oops fixed it. Didn't notice I missed the "e".
Let's just say I'm pleased as punch(isn't that one of your lines?) that we escaped with only a 3 point loss. Well, not really, but you could see that the offense was scared, the OC was scared from the very start. Just play the game without fear, that's all I ask. It's a game. It's football. Don't bottle up your whole offense. Don't not go for it when your team is down 10 with 8 minutes left and you're on their 39 yard line. Where is that team that I grew up loving that knows how to throw the ball? Enough with this "balance" bull ****, we throw the ball. That's what we do. Get back to it.
Well BYU supposedly will not play on Sunday. If that game continues it will be Sunday. They would have been left with the choice to forfeit or play on Sunday. I'm just curious what they would have done. Almost sure it would be to continue playing, which goes against their own rules.Haha, I wasn't calling out the spelling. I had just never heard the term forfeit in that context.
No. Has he ever beat anybody who is considered a "good" team? Since he got there they have been really good at beating bad or average teams. But have they beat anybody of worth?Am I the only one who thinks Bronco is a horrible coach? The guy just doesn't have "it". Poor play calling, poor execution, and just an overall lack of creativity on both sides of the ball.
He was saying that BYU has a policy of not playing on Sunday. If they end up in a tournament that requires a Sunday game they say they will forfeit. So what would they have done if their Saturday night game had turned into a Sunday morning game? Their kicker was actually taking one for the whole institution by helping them avoid that moral dilemma. BOINK!!!Haha, I wasn't calling out the spelling. I had just never heard the term forfeit in that context.

I think BYU thinks small. Similar to the Jazz.
Most defenses scheme to the wide side. A lot of plays go there and that is usually the strength side of the offense. More defensive players are to the wide side most often. A lot of teams run short side. As for the option last night. The issue wasn't running short side the issue was that Utah was slow-playing the QB, thus stringing out the option. Riley needed to attack downhill versus horizontal, get the option defender to commit, then pitch. What I still don't understand is why teams think it's smart play calling to run options to the short side of the field. BYU did this time and time again, and there's just not enough room to run option to the short side. I get so frustrated when I watch teams do this.
I don't mind losing to a team that is better than my team. Hell, I don't mind even losing to a team that gets lucky. But to lose to your own coaching and pure stupidity is un-****ing-acceptable.
How many more games are we going to allow our kicker to lose? Every year you can count on at least one game that comes down to missing an easy FG. Year after year, after year, after year, after year, after year.
And way to smother that fumble, you stupid dumb ****. The first thing they teach you in ****ING GREMLIN FOOTBALL is don't try to pick it up and run, FALL ON IT.
Got to love it when the commentators are openly wondering WHY, OH WHY, BYU keeps trying the same plays over and over and over. PATHETIC.
