THT Extension

Yeah he is the tank commander that played so well that we weren't able to tank. Some of you have insane blinders on when it comes to THT.

He played so well? If being inefficient and turnover prone while being -42 overall in +/- as a starter is playing so well we can’t tank then yes you’re right.

Yeah, I know efficiency, decision making ... blah, blah blah. But you really can't find much more fun than this:

Kind of a shame that so many were down on him from the get-go and really couldn't enjoy this as much as we should have done last year.

You know it's possible to like someone a little bit. It's also possible to criticize without "hating". There are levels of nuance that exist in the world and we can both like a guy and not think he's perfect in every way.

I never said anything about hating.

Nobody ever tried to argue that THT was perfect. But from my vantage point there were a lot more "yeah, but ..." kind of responses to THT's (sporadic) successes than toward virtually anyone else on the team. Just lots of refusal to have fun with what he was (occasionally) doing in a year when we should have been a whole less uptight about the end results.

Sometimes you just can't seem to help yourself. Anyone with eyes could see that THT played really well after the trade deadline. Also that -42 is a miracle when you consider we did a full on tank mode trade and then lost Sexton and Clarkson to injuries. You can continue to ignore the obvious but the dude played well and still has plenty of room for improvement.

THT is the very definition of chaos. Sometimes it’s good chaos and sometimes it’s just chaos. But I’m glad he’s here.

This is how basketball was meant to look.
