What's new

Thursday October 7th Portland (Insert caveman Joke no one gets but me) @ Jazz

Miles was the only let down I can see from reading everyone's reports.
Cj has got to get it together. He's not scoring like he should, and his defense lacks intensity.
I hope he shows a better effort next time out.

CJ never got into a rhythm mostly because he picked up 3 fouls in about 3 minutes I seem to remember. He took one three that I remember and hit it and it looked good. He also had a nice drive where he had some hang time and a nice finish. As for the fouls one was clearly all ball I could see that from my upper bowl seat and video replay confirmed it the second one could have gone either way I am sure if it was Kobe hitting the ball as CJ went through the lane it would not have been called. So lets not be too rough on him when officiating is partially to blame. Remember this is try outs a lot of the refs too so they always seem a little trigger happy during the preseason on those close calls.

mmm....brandy. The sailors say "Brandy, you're a fine girl. What a good wife you would be."

Fes had that and one other move. The other was not as nice but he finished. AND ONE!

The sad thing is that Fes' rimcheck was not the most embarrassing shot of the half that I saw. No, that dishonor belongs to Raja Bell who shot a 10' baseline jumper and hit behind the backboard. I couldn't tell if it was a pass or a shot, but when they showed Bell on the jumbotron, he was suppressing a laugh.

Very impressive move. From that angle he actually looks quick. Maybe if he slowed down just a bit he'd have the legs to get it over the rim.

Fes surprised himself with that move and how close he was to the basket decided to dunk it but didn't have the legs to do so. funny KSL put that on their highlight reel. +1 KSL.

The thing is he should be doing post moves rather than driving in from the high post liket that...

It hit under the rim, it was a pass to milsap.

Woah, that spin was pretty damn sweet. If he is trying to be a point guard now though he should just put that baby softly off the glass. Not a bad idea to learn some moves from that position, considering he is always in it during the games.

From my angle, it looked like it went behind. It was ugly whatever it was.

It for sure was ugly. I think he was going to shoot it and changed his mind way too late. I think it was actually supposed to go over for an oop because milsap was right there and pointed up to bell. Who knows.

On the last 2 plays being mentioned for what it's worth: On the radio Locke said during the play by play that the Bell play was supposed to be a pass (he was going to shoot but saw Milsap at the last second and decided to pass) and that he was laughing at himself, the Fess spin move he said he was going to lay it in and surprised how close he was decided to change his mind at the last second and tried to dunk it cause he was so close.... and well we all saw how that ended.
