If Trump loses I don't see him leaving politics, its money for jam and the last racket left for him to make a dishonest dollar. I also don't see the GOP and his followers suddenly having a coming to god moment and going wait we're on a loser here. best case scenario for the GOP is he starts his own party but why would he when he basically owns the Republican Party?
Surprise, surprise, a felon trying to help out another felon. And like his hero he was also accused of abuse... by his own wife.
But just how pathetic is the party of Trump? Bringing Walz's sons disability into the mix is not a surprise though is it? I'm waiting for The Rapist to do it too. What are the odds he just can't help himself?

Angertainment media on the right didn’t start with trump nor will it end with trump. As long as Fox News, Breitbart, Ben Shapiro, and the rest of the slime media on the right make money off the rubes, Trump or someone like Trump, will continue. The root of The problem is a degenerate media environment that figured out that they could make a boat load of money off feeding the dumbest in America nonsense. Fox News was a major step in this direction as it created an alternative reality for 30-40 percent of the population. And as long as addicts tune in, Fox and the other dealers will continue to deal!
The real issue is with the rubes. They just might be too far gone. We may just have to let them die off and hope that in the next generation or two that angertainment media is less successful at getting Americans addicted to their bile.

For some men on the Right, showing emotion is a sign of weakness. It’s feminine. Actually, to many on the Right, expressions of love by men is considered a terrible and shameful weakness. Imagine? That would be the Josh Hawley school of thought of how a man must behave to be considered a real man. And a man showing love, accompanied by tears? In a public setting? That’s not how “a real man” behaves.
Toxic masculinity is an endemic feature of the MAGA cult. Which is about as childish, as immature, and a reflection of male insecurity, male weakness, as it gets.

I mean, he will be involved in politics to the effect of choosing who to endorse and what not, but if he loses I dont see him running for any office again. MAGA will go the way of the Tea Party. I'm sure Republicans will find some sort of rebrand that works because I dont the Dems fully seize power and do what they should ala FDR.

Then threaten to effectively end a co-equal branch of the American government? I watched this a bit earlier today. 100% agree.
Imagine being a person all filled with righteous indignation, a sense of moral superiority, believing you're a good person... but then the moment you see a 17 year old son get emotional about his dad being nominated to become the Vice President of the United States of America, while his dad calls him out as the most important thing in his life in front of the entire United Center who is going nuts with cheers and applause, you think what a pathetic puffed up soy boy that 17 year old is. You feel this way so strongly that you go to twitter and make a very explicit case that this kid is an example of why the Democratic party is weak and the alpha-Chad MAGA party is the answer, because in this increasingly technological world, what we need are muscle-bound man-children who need a woman to feed them (and do their laundry, and clean their room, and organize their social schedule, raise their children with limited assistance, accommodate any passing whim and fancy) or else they will die.
Our society is so basic that we don't have time to treat unusual people with humanity. If you're disabled, or different, or non-cis, you are worthless in this brutal humanity. You are an unacceptable burden.
Also, I understand he has a non-verbal learning disability. That doesn't mean he can't talk, it means that he can't learn through non-verbal cues. So, by saying aloud "That's my dad," he was highlighting it for himself to remember the moment. Just thinking about that makes me cry, honestly. Truly beautiful, and to mock that if just completely despicable. The people who can't understand that have have never felt a moment of pure love in their lives.

It seems that right wingers making fun of this child is par for the course tbh. Is it really much different than when Trump made fun of that disabled reporter back in 2015 or 2016? The cruelty is the point. We have a party that has embraced racism, sexism, cruelty, and all around douchebaggery. Was making fun of Walz’s kid a new low? Maybe. But I’m guessing if you drew a venn diagram of people who made posters depicting Obama as a gorilla or Michelle as a man, people who got off on Trump making fun of that disabled reporter, people who thought Trump calling a porn star “horse face” was funny, people who mocked Joe Biden for loving Hunter, and now people laughing at Walz’s kid, you’d have a perfect circle.
The de-sensitizing of 30-40 percent of the country really got going with Rush Limbaugh on the radio and Fox News. The rise of the tea party and the billionaire money to feed that wretched movement against the first black president poured gas onto this reactionary movement. And now Trump became its leader. He gave millions of Americans permission to act their worst selves.
Has any elected Republican denounced any of these public “conservatives” for going after walz’s son? I bet I can guess the answer. That side has become de-sensitized. There’s no shame anymore. Anyone decent has already left the party.
