Largely I agree with vj_74, with the sole exception being Okur's presence solving the rebounding issue. Sure, he can grab them on occasion, but with the Jazz he's averaged only about 8 rpg.

Otherwise, I agree...I'm inclined to give the coaching staff the benefit of the doubt.

While the part about Memo is true. I also think he boxes out one of the big men which left Carlos 1 on 1 to battle for a rebound. Right now both Millsap and Al are fighting for rebounds but neither one of them consistently boxes out. I think when Memo comes back (if healthy) he absolutely helps with rebounding just because of that.

what about starting price instead of bell? He can provide defensive energy at the start of quarters maybe for 5 minutes. Of course, size will be a concern...

IMO the problem with Utah's starts isn't as much energy at both-ends of the court as it's energy at the offensive end - which again I say is largely due to Raja Bell being a 1-dimensional player (spot-up shooter). He's not someone who can put it on the floor and create when chased off those open looks, and he rarely shoots at all when moving left to right (ex: Harpring/Korver curl) and most importantly doesn't have the ability to cut hard and receive the ball underneath the basket. Unlike Hayward (who like Matthews changes ends of the court quickly to get opportunities in transition), Bell also can't get out and run with Deron.

When you factor in that half the time AK comes out flat as well, you're reduced to more of a perimeter stand-around offense which leads to live-ball turnovers and easy baskets for opponents in transition.
I don't see Price fixing any of that. I think Miles for AK or Hayward for Bell would be a more practical solution.
