Tinsley stays; Harris on block? Insider

I'll go ahead and offer any sig/avatar bet anyone wants to make that Burks will be better than Mo Williams next year.

In reference to the dumb assumptions that Mo will man the 2. Hell, even if they start together Alec will be better. This idea of a Mo/Harris backcourt is a sad fantasy.

It will be awesome. Because Mo is not gonna struggle and if Burks will be better - we all gonna enjoy this moments.

I hope you two are right. I am so excited for the Jazz's first summer league game. NBAtv will televise it. I already have it set to record. ;)

Overall, I am glad Favors and Hayward on with the Olympic team...but it would have been badass to see a summer league lineup of

Burks
Kevin Martin (or whatever our pick's name is)
Hayward
Favors
Kanter

Here is a list of FA pgs. I'm not liking the chances of Jazz trading Harris and his 8.5 million contract.

Point Guard
(name, team – 2011-12 salary – status)

Um, I think you can cross Mo Williams off that list. ;-)

And you're banking on Devin Harris figuring out how to do that at this point in his career?

i'm saying harris is already naturally better at that. he forces defenses to make decisions, to collapse. he runs at guys' backs in transition. he's agressive as hell.

mo is none of those things. he's not a playmaker, he's more of a shooter. and that's fine and it addresses a need, but defenses don't collapse on you when you're standing on the three point line.

Thank you for being the voice of reason. Not to mention that if you play Mo at the 2, then that either means that Hayward is not playing much or Burks is not playing much.

The Jazz need to decide who hey want long term. Is it Mo or is it Harris? The last thing that I want to see is that the addition of Williams means even less time for on young wing players.

There's no need to rush it. We already know we don't want Harris but that doesn't mean he isn't the better player. If Mo can get the other four guys the ball he will already be better for the Jazz than Devin is. But there's no reason to rush and sign anyone long term.

The truth is NEITHER Devin or Mo will get invited to play in the All-Star game any time soon. BOTH have slowed. Devin is 6'3" and a better defender than Mo at 6'1". Devin seems to have lost more offensively than Mo in his advancing years. Keeping both makes sense, UNLESS we can get a legit SF in a trade. Especially if Earl has worn out his welcome in Utah, or isn't recovered from his injury.
We did play some "small ball" with Harris and Watson together last year, so I'd expect the same from Harris and Williams this year.
And last year Hayward often brought the ball up and got us into our offensive sets, which he looks better at than shooting...
