What's new

To those who raved about biig al defensive improvement!

EAT CROW NOW.

btw he did play good defense now and again.
but come playoff time this is exaclty what we will see.
big al's body language and effort are lacking.

my grandma has better body language and effort when washing dishes.

big al has to be the worse team captain in every major proffesional and amature sport leaugea in the world.

this was a preview of what kinda defense we can except from al for 40 minutes a game in the playoff.

i smell a SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP

and heaven harris bring on the neg rep spam choo choooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. hippocryt

worse thing about this game if it wa snot a blow out kanter would not have seen a single minute in the 2nd half bringing his total minutes to 5:14.

thanks for this blowout so atleast kanter gets some valuable minutes

where did all those guys go who raved about fat al's amazing out of this world defensive improvement :)

hmmmmm they have vanished just like fat al's invisible improvements on defense.

whish they would come back.

gotta wait for a couple of accidental lucky defensive plays by big al for the to re-appear.

still waiting on those guys to come here and apologize for trying to show me big al's defensive improvements. nothing but crickets in this thread so far

Come on, BA just forgot that defense is important. He learned that recently donchya know but he forgets sometimes. Like sometimes he forgets it is good to pass instead of shooting over a triple team. Its hard to keep all that straight.

Check out BA's arms and shoulder on a free throw next time. Have those arms spent a minute in a weight room?

Big Al had shown much more energy and effort on D before last nights game. To say otherwise is foolish. Just as foolish as saying he tried last night.

It must have been hard having four players play defense with such energy in the starting line-up, while Jefferson's lack thereof destroyed the whole game. [/sarcasm]

well eveyryear now and again he shows energt and effort.
but when it counts playoff and on the road. it dissapears.

so that is not called improvement.
thats called doing your job 10% of the time

I understand enough to know that when a whole teams comes out with no energy, no one player is to blame.

but as team captain you should then show some initiave.
malone never would that happen.
they kept going to fat al. and kept going to him.
yet he never send a message that this is our house. dont give layup clinics.

I pretty much loathe Al being on the Jazz, but this isn't solely on him. You can say it's coaching, you can say it's the starters, or you can say it's both. But this wasn't on the bench, who really can only get better. More than anything, this proves that Ty's loyalty is to the veterans themselves, not fairness, and not winning.

This only mounts more evidence of the obvious for those that aren't hopeless homers of the status quo: What is, isn't working. Despite that I thought the hire and immediate extension were downright foolish, I've tried to give the guy a shot and be positive. I've tried to be patient with Corbin, but it's really, really slipping this year.

In this particular game, the the bench fell behind by just as much as the starters.

imho it all started with the big al defense. which SNOWBALLED from there.
the game started with easy layups for lin and harden.
then, people tried to pack the paint trying to cover for big al's lack of defines.
then 3pointers where left open.
then 3 pointers started falling.
then corbin failed to make adjustments kanter getting 5 minutes in the first half, because we NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED big al.

so yeah a snowball starts with a flake. in this case lakc of big al's DEFINES
