I'm not tremendously high on Tobias Harris, but he does seem to match up well against Houston.

Just throwing this out.
Sign and trade Favors.
Favors to Atlanta
Harris to Utah
Schroder to LAC
They money could work but Clippers have no incentive to do this.
Any other players you take off their roster to give them cap relief?

I think you mean the Hawks have no incentive to do it.
Yep... it's the Hawks with no incentive to give up value when they can sign Favors outright without it. Unless they think Shcroeder is negative value.

Rumor had it they were looking to deal him.
They can sign Favors as a FA with their capspace. And then trade Schroeder for additional value. No need to gift him.

So you are assuming the Hawks are drafting Young, Doncic, or Porter Jr? Because if they go with one of the bigs at 3 this trade makes 0 sense for them.
Utah would have to put a draft pick in for sure.

Harris would be such a good fit on this team. I would give up a pick for him. He's only 25 (which is surprising because it seems like he has been in the league for quite a while). He's the rare PF who can shoot and defend and he has an edge. He can actually get better too. Let Snyder and his team work their magic on him.

If you think Harris makes you contend next year, you need to send out that 21st pick. I’m sorry— we don’t have 5 years to wait on a draft pick potentially materializing. Rent his ***, lets go to the finals.
I agree with that idea but I definitely dont think Harris is someone that makes a difference in contending or not. I think he is a lateral move from Favors. He is definitely better at shooting but worse at just about everything else.
Favors does so many little things that make a difference. There is a reason he was our second best net rating in the playoffs next to Rubio.
I am not opposed to Harris but if we are trading our pick I hope we aim for a higher ceiling guy. I think Mirotic and Parker are better players and fit this team better. But even so I hope we swing higher than even those 3. We need a legit All-star level player.

I do believe that Harris makes us much better than Favors for the playoffs. For the season, it's about even. Favors is great Gobert insurance and a good locker room guy who I think we miss when he's gone. Tobias is also a good locker room guy, but the chemistry for 2017/18 was something special and Favors was part of that.
The only concern I have about Tobias Harris is contract. If he comes here via a trade this summer and does really well (which I expect), how much will we have to pay him next summer?

If he does well enough to be an all star and we get over whatever humps we have, we will pay the man.
So you dont believe that stats that Favors was one of our best players when he was on the court in the playoffs? Or you believe that Harris would make us even better than that?
The only thing that concerns me about Favors is his health. This is 2 years in a row that he has been hurt in the playoffs and it hurt us. But Rubio being injured hurt us even more. The Jazz need to be healthy in the playoffs.
One of the biggest factors for the Jazz is that they need to be better in the regular season so we are not desperately fighting to make the playoffs. That is why we are not healthy in the playoffs. Great teams rest their guys and make sure they are healthy and ready to go come playoffs. The Jazz have not had that luxury the last 2 years.
Personally I think if Favors, Rubio, and Exum are healthy against Houston we either win or push them to the brink and lose in the series this year.
One more player who is an all-star level player would really help but a lot of that help would come in the grind of the regular season.
