What's new

Tonight's game.... ON TNT

Hayward might as well be mowing the lawn when he plays in SLC. No excuse for him anymore with this stuff. I really think the guy has a concentration problem when it comes to being around his family.

I know that Hayward is playing like **** the past two games, but I at least give him props for playing. Anyone else on our team would be out for at least another 3-4 months with the same injury.

Our next game is at houston...

Harden goes off for what? 47? 48 points? What's your guess.

Awful loss

Without Hill on the floor this team looks like it plays not to win but to not get beat. Plenty of perimeter passing with no direction, settling for threes when we couldn't throw a rock in the ocean (Hayward and Hood went a combined 8 for 31). Iso Joe was three for four in seventeen minutes, seldom got the rock in his hands and was on the pine during crunch time. Diaw had one rebound in twenty one minutes, Withey looked awful in five minutes - underscoring our lack of quality reserves to play the five. Exum desperately needs to play with a more offensive mindset. No question in my mind that Hill is the best floor general and by that I mean leader that we have on this team.

Very disappointing no matter how you look at it.
Yes, the injuries. Yes Hayward and Hood still arent a 100%. Hood was still sick in the post game interview. Hayward obviously bothered by that finger.

Sad to think we've lost games this year due to the flu, a thumb, and off shooting hand finger. Ridiculous!

Wow, I watched this at 6AM in the morning as I live in Europe and wow, such an ugly game it was.. Even TNT crew were shocked. we played terrible offensively but we were in it until the last minute, played good defense overall and Wade/Butler had to knock down long contested 2s to seal the win. CHI coach always seemed to have a plan when attacking, for example they abused Lyles consistently. We looked cluless offensively most of the time and were late to call timouts when the momentum shifted.

Agree with the other posters that Exum&Gobert duo looks good on both ends. By the way without Rudy we lose this game by 30.
Hood and Hayward both look hurt and tired.. they can't possibly miss so many open shots.
It's never mentioned around but we need Burks back. He is the most athletic and unique Jazz player and when the team struggles he can score individually, slash, dunk, get to the FT line etc..

With the new time zone **** here in Turkey, the game started at about 6:45 AM and ended about 9:00 AM

WHAT A ****TY WAY TO START A DAY.

Hopefully we learned something from this game. The expectations are higher now. We seem to be playing tight at home.
We have to come in focused, confident, and aggressive. I'm just not seeing that right now in our arena.

Hate to sound dramatic, but I think this game was damaging to our program. There will be repercussions to laying an egg like this(on national TV, no less). This is more than just one game from a confidence standpoint. Who will be the first writer to call for Quin's firing?

I know Hill and Favors are out, Hood's coming off being sick, Hayward has a hurt finger, etc. but we still should have won this game.

The good news is that Rudy and Exum looked so good.

sheesh... Jimmy Butler thoroughly outplayed Hayward..

Diaw sucks.. he's deadweight..

At-least it was a great showing for Exum tho

5-25 3 pt shooting. 20 percent 3 pt shooting???

Until we get golden state shooters we should probably refrain from playing like Golden State
